BOSE PROFESSIONAL

Yesterday a press release announced that Bose Corporation has sold the Bose Professional Division to Transom Capital Group, a private equity firm that thus acquires all of Bose Professional’s business related to installations and conferencing.
The company also announced a forthcoming press release from the new Bose Professional company, in which more details will be offered, in the meantime in this initial release CEO Lila Snyder explains:

The sale to Transom will provide Bose Professional with the additional focus it needs to support professional audio customers and to continue to develop industry-recognized products and technologies. THE PROCUREMENT CODE

On March 28, the Council of Ministers launched the new Procurement Code, which will apply from July 1 to 200 billion public tenders, but excluding (at least in part) those related to the NRP, which are under a 2021 decree.
The points contested by contractors, trade associations, etc. concern first and foremost the minimum threshold for direct awarding (Anac, the Anti-Corruption Authority, disputes thresholds above 5 million euros for contracts without tenders, or 70-80 percent of public contracts); the obligation for non-main municipalities to aggregate and qualify to make tenders; integrated contracting-in which the designer is also the executor, and decides on variants and costs-is possible for all categories of contracts and not only for large complex works; subcontracting is liberalized, which would give the green light to “empty box” companies resulting in less control over contracts, safety, accountability mechanisms, etc.; and ; last but not least, the reserve earmarked for previously supported categories, such as young people and female entrepreneurs, is eliminated.

The impact of the new Code will cover a 200-billion-a-year “pie” of public procurement between works, supplies and services, from rail and highway construction sites to maintenance, from contracts for schools and hospitals to energy and IT services for the public administration, and will inevitably touch our sector as well; it will cover the ordinary, but also the “extraordinary” such as the Jubilee in Rome and the Strait Bridge.
