Superior technology and low latency
EW-D is based on the same technology as the high-end Sennheiser Digital 6000 and Digital 9000 series, and therefore is a product suitable for both live events (whose restart, worldwide, represents some of the best news for the economy of entire sectors) and corporate, educational and conferencing applications.
Among its most important features, the EW-D boasts low latency (1.9 milliseconds) and a transmitter battery life of up to 12 hours, with BA 70 rechargeable batteries. 56 MHz with up to 90 channels per band makes it particularly easy to find space in even the most crowded RF environments. The system is completed by a wide range of accessories: antennas, some dedicated splitters, boosters and charging sets, all for an expandable system that allows you to easily create multi-channel set-ups even for live or streaming events.
Control and configuration via the app
The real positive of EW-D, however, is the ability to easily configure and control the system via the app, thanks to Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. Compatible with iOS 12 and Android 8 Oreo (or with the latest versions of the same operating systems), the EW-D Smart Assist app provides all the tools for system configuration, operation and monitoring.
The intelligent configuration automatically creates wireless connections, and does not require any specific technical skills, on the contrary offering an easy allocation of frequencies (precisely the procedure that in many cases is the most complicated and ends up dissuading the inexperienced user from using a wireless microphone) and an equally immediate naming of the channels. The app is also capable of setting wireless links at 600 kHz intervals without any frequency calculation, with more flexibility than a standard microphone system.
Within seconds, the most reliable signal is automatically found and scalable with up to 90 channels. The app allows full control of the system and offers the possibility to maximise the number of channels even in congested RF environments, saving time and energy. Available in nine languages, the Smart Assist app is like a “pocket engineer” for automated configuration and troubleshooting: just follow the intuitive instructions of the control interface step by step. In addition to instant access to all system settings, a new support hub offers video tutorials and detailed manuals. Finally, the app also helps to keep the system firmware up to date.
