The official distribution of Q-SYS products by Prase Media Technologies will be effective as of October 15, 2023. We had a chance to talk with Systems Sales Manager Luca Battistelli about this strategic step taken.
C: What does Q-SYS add to your portfolio because this partnership is important to you?
LB – Q-SYS adds to our portfolio video solutions for conference applications, with USB flow, and a state-of-the-art control system (we already had other solutions, but not of the same level). Q-SYS is among the manufacturers most appreciated by system integrators for the reliability, scalability, and flexibility of its audio and video products; moreover, it stands out for offering a solution designed on software, less constrained by the hardware component, which makes it easier to maintain a state-of-the-art project despite the passage of time. It is always important for us to be able to propose the best available technology; we aim to offer customers complete solutions, plus Q-SYS gives us the guarantee of being, as they say, future-proof.
C: So, Q-SYS technology is integrated into the Prase portfolio representing added value?
LB – More: Q-SYS processors are called Core, an appropriate name that reflects centrality in projects of all sizes. Thanks to this new partnership, System Prase projects will also take advantage of the scalability of the Core system and its inherent compatibility with many of the other brands in the portfolio, to realize tailor-made projects. The UCI of Q-SYS, for example, already includes a very large number of plug-ins, for brands such as Shure, Televic, LG, Epson, Powersoft, Atlona, Sharp/NEC, Bluesound Professional and many others, already in our catalog. Design and programming therefore will be greatly facilitated.
C: How has your corporate structure adapted for this new partnership?
LB – To best manage a brand like Q-SYS, specialized technical training is essential. Prase’s technical and commercial team is engaged in a busy schedule of certification and in-depth meetings with the new partner, which are essential to be able to offer the best service to our customers, The pre-sales team, created at the beginning of the summer and directed by Luigi Schiavone, has eight people, three of whom are focused on design. For after-sales, we decided to use the term customer care: seven people, three dedicated to the highest level of system support, both remote and in-person, and another four dedicated to repair. In both working groups there are already colleagues who have obtained QSYS Training level 2 professional certification, the most advanced level. “
C: In short: Prase philosophy in the service of Q-SYS technology, and vice versa?
LB – That’s right. Our commitment has always been to ensure constant support at all stages of development of a system, rental and broadcast project, and this is certainly a cornerstone of our business. With the new partnership with Q-SYS, we guarantee support at our in-house repair labs, simplifying and speeding up the resolution of the most common issues. In case of need , we have a direct line to the vendor’s service center.”
