Great technological innovations in the two Powersoft stands at ISE 2022: Dynamic Music Distribution integrates all the functions necessary for music distribution in a single product, while Mover is the new frontier of haptic technology for immersive applications.
The return to ISE in attendance convinced Powersoft to invest not in one, but in two stands: the first dedicated to music distribution, the second to the innovative Mover. Let’s start with Dynamic Music Distribution, which combines many functions in a single device, assuming that even the simplest music distribution system is based on several devices to route the different sources and perform all its functions, with an impact on costs and complexity of the systems themselves.
The Powersoft solution is called, precisely, Dynamic Music Distribution (DMD), and consists in the integration of necessary functionality and features in a single device that includes a routing matrix, a network switch and digital sound processing. In short, with Dynamic Routing, any digital or analog source connected to an amplifier is automatically recognized as mono, stereo or multi-channel and shared between the different zones. The integrated DSP manages signal processing and source-to-zone routing, while limiters protect the speakers. Dynamic Music Distribution ultimately gives system integrators the ability to scale inputs and zones more cost effectively and efficiently with dynamic routing capabilities built into amplification platforms, simplifying dynamic routing of music and other sources such as control signals between different zones and on multiple amplifiers, all regardless of the position of the source and without the need for a centralized DSP.
Protagonist of the main stand, the DMD system was illustrated to visitors by a team of experts together with the Mezzo amplifiers, ArmoníaPlus and WM Touch, the interactive panels that represent three different examples of DMD applications. Visitors, therefore, were able to physically explore the various combinations that can be achieved with these applications.
The second stand of the company was instead dedicated to haptic technology for immersive applications, with the presentation of Mover, a brand new, powerful compact low-frequency tactile/direct-drive transducer patented by Powersoft able to give life to the most personalized audio installations. Mover is a solution designed for entertainment venues, 4D cinemas, clubs, simulations and any other place where tactile feedback can improve the overall customer experience. We are also talking about applications not related to entertainment, since Mover allows you to perceive sound by making the surrounding environment “resonate” with vibrations that the human body is able to perceive and stimulating the inner ear through bone conduction, which translates vibrations into frequencies. Characterized by compact size and easy scalability, Mover is also equipped with an external coupler that allows it to be used in direct-drive applications where the transducer is anchored to an immobile surface and the moving magnet is connected to the moving surface, such as a floor float or an armchair, for high impact effects.
