The ZWDB/H series uses flip-chip COB LED lamps, the latest frontier in the LED industry, and includes what are currently the most advanced indoor LED cabinets in the Hikvision catalog
To the DS-D4209CI-ZWDH and DS-D4212CI-ZWDH models, which differ only in pixel pitch (0.9 and 1.2 respectively) and definition (640 x 320 versus 480 x 270), but which share all the other characteristics, from the contrast ratio 15,000:1 to the dimensions (600 x 337.5 mm), from the brightness (600 nits) to the very high degree of environmental protection (IP65), a third model has recently been added – DS-D4207CI-ZWDH – which further lowers the pixel value pitch, offering a remarkable 0.7.
Designed for indoor applications that require very high display quality, these new Hikvision LEDs are lightweight, easy to install and dismantle and boast a modular design that further facilitates installation and maintenance. But why the choice of COB (Chip On Board) technology instead of the more widespread SMD (Surface Mount Technology)? There are many reasons, starting, in our opinion, from the possibility of obtaining lower pixel pitches, up to values of 0.4. Furthermore, the SMD type light source is point-like, while in the COB models we have an areal light source, which offers a wider viewing angle, with less risk of glare or ghost images.
Finally, the COB LED presents a reduction in energy consumption, a very important issue today, with consequent prolongation of the life of the products without decay in brightness, and offers better protection of the surface thanks to the integral covering in epoxy resin, which allows a level of protection IP65 (dust, smoke, water and steam). The icing on the cake is the dead pixel rate: in SMD models it is around 100 PPM, while for COB technology models it is less than 10 PPM.
The new DS-D4207CI-ZWDH model continues to lower the pixel pitch value, bringing it to 0.7, and maintaining the same characteristics of definition, brightness and contrast ratio.
