After the presentation at the CES in Las Vegas, LG OLED Canyon was revived at the IFA in Berlin: an immersive experience in nature, discovering the functionality of LG OLED “Open Frame” customizable business displays.
On the occasion of IFA 2018, LG Electronics has re-presented in its stand LG OLED Canyon, an immersive installation that takes full advantage of the technology and flexibility of LG Electronics business displays. In practice, this is a 27-meter curved “canyon” with 246 LG OLED “Open Frame” display units, arranged in a concave and convex configuration that offers visitors an immersive visual experience.
There is therefore the LG “Open Frame” Series at the base of this fascinating installation: 55” OLED monitor (to be precise, it’s the EF5 Series) that allow you to bend and flex the displays to faithfully reproduce the shapes of natural environments.
There are five natural landscapes reproduced inside the Canyon, from the Columbia glacier in Alaska to the Iguazu Falls, on the border between Argentina and Brazil; from Antelope Canyon in Arizona to the Redwood National Park, in California, to the Haleakalā National Park of Hawaii. The experience for visitors is extremely immersive thanks to the characteristics of the LG “Open Frame” 55” OLED Signage. The OLED technology, in fact, allows you to completely turn on or off every single pixel, giving new life to the colors and creating an optimized contrast, ideal for high dynamic contents.
The video installation is completed by an immersive Dolby Atmos sound system: in short, a combination of image and sound that made the experience even more realistic and fascinating.
