The end of summer gives satisfaction to QSC, brand distributed in Italy by Exhibo: the cardioid subwoofer KS212C has been nominated for the Technical Excellence & Creativity Award in the Pro Audio amplified loudspeakers category.
Organized every year by the NAMM Foundation, the TEC Award 2019 will be awarded on January 26th in Anaheim, California. The competing products will be evaluated by a group of experts in the professional audio sector, to identify products with particular points of merit in design, innovation and production. The QSC KS212C cardioid subwoofer can boast an innovative design and an advanced DSP, in a single compact speaker, and is an interesting solution for a portable, amplified cardioid subwoofer for any Pro Audio application. KS212C offers a high directivity on low and lowest frequencies, which greatly expands the range of applications of the product, from stage to small size environments.
Amplified with 3600 Watt Class D electronics, developed with the latest DSP technology and equipped with two 12” long-excursion speakers, KS212C allows to achieve an attenuation of up to 18 db in the rear.
The cabinet is made of birch plywood and is equipped with handles, wheels for transport and two holes for stands on both sides, horizontal and vertical. The internal DSP can use different cutting frequencies from 80Hz up to 120Hz; a programmable delay allows coupling with satellite speakers, for the creation of Arc Subwoofer or for multiple subwoofer Array configurations.
All that remains is to wish good luck for the prize!
