A conference system designed to support an assembly, such as a board of directors, must meet specific standards in terms of security, confidentiality, speech intelligibility, and crystal-clear audio.
In April 2023, system integrator Ayno successfully completed the renovation of the conference system in the boardroom of a major company in the Grocery Retail sector (GDO). Televic technologies were chosen for this project.
“The renovation involved a room measuring 8m x 15m, with a rectangular table accommodating 58 stations. We installed 55 delegate units of the Confidea TDV model and 3 chairman units of the Confidea TCV model, all controlled by a central unit, Plixus AER,” commented Artiom Harabara, AV Specialist at Ayno.
The central unit, Plixus AER, equipped with a proprietary protocol designed by Televic, offers superior performance, especially in terms of security and reliability. External IP traffic to the Plixus network is entirely isolated, eliminating the possibility of harmful interference from third parties within the conference network, ensuring the confidentiality and security of transmitted data.
Moreover, Plixus, in addition to being a closed network, also operates as an open architecture, serving as a filter for all communications between the conference network and the external world. The Dante interface enables open communication with other third-party systems enabled on the Dante network, creating a universe of possibilities for signal routing and processing.
Plixus also integrates DSP capabilities, allowing adjustment of each audio stream to match the speaker’s voice tone or adapt to the acoustic characteristics of the room. If needed, the original audio captured by each microphone can be extracted and sent to an external DSP, processed, and then reintegrated into the conference system or another audio system. External Dante channels, including simultaneous translation channels, can also be introduced into the system. In the case of the boardroom, 8 Apart speakers of the MX20DT model were installed, used in conjunction with a LabGruppen CA1202 amplifier.
