Those who are in Orlando for InfoComm 2023 can look forward to an interesting program of workshops and meetings on the topics of AV and IT convergence. All the more reason to visit the event that will close on Friday, organized by AVIXA
The topic of convergence, or perhaps better said dialogue, between the Audio Video and IT sectors has been the subject of thought and consideration for years. However, the need that has now become an opportunity for remote work brings the topic back to the forefront: optimization of IT networks for multimedia content management, security of IT facilities and remote workstations, and dialogue between IT managers and system integrators are among the most debated topics.
A program dedicated to AV/IT at InfoComm 2023
The InfoComm trade show, which is taking place these days (until June 16) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, is offering a program focused precisely on AV and IT convergence, its obstacles and trends. An itinerary of 30 events including meetings, workshops, trainings with companies, trade show tours focusing on enterprise IT, etc., will be offered.
The “Network Convergence and Optimization of AV Systems” seminar will take place today, offering an informative overview of everything related to local area networks. Led by Nyere Hollingsworth of Grainger, participants will learn how to speak a common language with their technology partners and ensure that their systems can operate reliably on a common network. Also today, Peter Lurie of Microsoft will lead a session on securing conference rooms in the enterprise titled “Hacking Conference Rooms: Are Your Rooms Secure?” to identify the source of risks and cntrain potential vulnerabilities.
Tomorrow it will be the turn of Google’s Scott Josephson with a talk titled “Supporting Videoconferencing at Google” while today and tomorrow the Technology Innovation Stage (booth 2260) will host a number of sessions on enterprise IT trends. A panel of experts will discuss how emerging technologies are making true network convergence possible, paving the way for unified, data-driven AV/IT management.
Finally, tomorrow InfoComm will also host a trade show tour led by Jose Mozata of Freman Solutions, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., focusing on the latest developments in networking and cloud technologies.
