[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Distributed in Italy by Exhibo, the Avonic brand offers the CM70-NDI PTZ camera, recently launched on the market and perfect for creating interconnected production environments, thanks to the NDI protocol.

Network Device Interface: the NDI acronym, which is becoming increasingly popular in the field of automated shooting systems and virtual sets, expresses in three simple letters a world of interconnection possibilities and centralized management of various equipment, mainly cameras and video mixer. In the last year and a half, characterized by the pandemic with its distancing and security needs, remote events have multiplied, and many production centers have decidedly opted for remote shooting solutions (PTZ), comfortable and easy to manage – even more so through the NDI protocol.

NDI protocol: what are we talking about?

NDI is a royalty-free standard developed by NewTek to enable communication between compatible technology products, which can distribute and receive high quality video with very low latency, indispensable conditions for a live production environment. In short, using NDI products means having many more possibilities to add devices connected to the network (in simple as complex environments) with almost infinite potential, especially in professional uses (broadcast, e-sports, education, live events, professional A/V, digital signage etc.).

In the context of this article, the NDI protocol allows you to use any combination of compatible technologies to better structure the interconnected production workflow: PTZ cameras, converters, capture cards, playback devices, monitors, displays, videowalls but also mobile devices and software: everything can become part of the “family” built on the basis of the NDI protocol, for increasingly effective productions. All this, however, by exploiting, in most cases, existing networks.

Avonic CM-70-NDI: one PTZ for all signals

In short, NDI means creating an interconnected production environment, in which each source can also be a destination; a world where any device can be connected to any other device. The new Avonic CM-70-NDI PTZ camera perfectly fits into its role, primarily thanks to the variety of signals it is able to handle: with simultaneous HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB 2.0 outputs and Ethernet IP stream, this PTZ all-in-one camera by Avonic enables the transition to a full IP infrastructure even for mobile applications.

With the IP implementation on existing networks, all the cameras detected within the network become directly available for use without the need for complex configuration operations. Video, audio, control and power are gathered on a single cable thanks to PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) technology, which allows the CM70-NDI camera to be connected to hundreds of systems, devices and applications that support the NDI protocol. In addition, the CM70-NDI camera includes a broad set of broadcast-grade features, including a user-adjustable color matrix, high image quality even in low light conditions and SRT streaming mode (premium licensed features).

The camera is available in both black and white, to better fit into any environment, not only for production but also for Corporate or Auditorium and meeting rooms.
