AVIXA’s TIDE Conference is coming to Europe for the first time, providing thought leadership on Design Thinking with a host of exciting speakers from across the globe.
AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, is bringing TIDE (Technology. Innovation. Design. Experience.) to Amsterdam. The conference is set for 5 February 2018, at Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the day before the ISE show floor opens. The conference explores the creative forces shaping the AV industry and how AV businesses can benefit from these concepts and will focus on design thinking, bringing together designers, brand marketers, content creators, systems integrators, live events producers, and end users to share their different perspectives. These innovators will demonstrate the dynamic results and incredible experiences that come from taking a closer look at the role design plays in business.
“After a successful debut at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, we’re thrilled to bring TIDE to ISE – said Dan Goldstein, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications, AVIXA – TIDE is a great forum for gaining a fresh viewpoint on the possibilities of AV technology. The conference will help contextualize the technology that people will see while they walk the ISE trade show floor. TIDE’s innovative speakers will show how organizations are pushing the limits of technology to deliver extraordinary business results”.
Inspiring Opening Keynote
Daan Roosegaarde, an internationally acclaimed creative thinker and founder of Studio Roosegaarde, which develops projects that explore the relationship between people, technology, and space, will deliver the opening keynote for the TIDE conference at ISE 2018. Roosegaarde’s talk, “Landscapes of the Future”, will highlight his innovative practices that merge people, technology and space into creating a better world, by exploring the social role of design, the importance of “Schoonheid” (a Dutch word meaning both beauty and cleanliness) along with his vision for the future.
Packed programme
Joining the TIDE conference is Ben Moorsom, President and Chief Creative Officer of Debut Group, a marketing agency focused on experiential training, event production and communications consulting. Moorsom is transforming the way companies communicate by drawing upon research in the fields of neuroscience and human psychology. His session, titled “Compelling Creative Gets Us Most of the Way. Science Gets Us Further” looks at how the latest research in brain science can be used to improve engagement, connection and outcomes at events. Neuroscaping is the art of integrating neuro-design techniques to event design – combining science with insight to reimagine how live experiences are produced. Harnessing untapped human potential and uncovering missed opportunities to connect.
Closing with an eye to the future
TIDE’s closing keynote speaker is artist and designer Monika Bielskyte, who creates future-world prototypes for the entertainment industry, technology companies, and cities. A large part of her time is devoted to research and strategy in the immersive media technology space (augmented, mixed, and virtual reality). Her clients include Hollywood production companies Ridley Scott Associates, Universal, and Dreamworks; technology giants CERN, Intel, and Google; design companies Rick Owens and Aston Martin; and the United Arab Emirates government.
TIDE’s Global Partners Biamp and Nureva sponsor AVIXA’s TIDE conference program.
