Vision Exchange 1.1 version, the Sony solution for active learning and interactive collaboration, was recentrly presented: there are many interesting new features.
The upgrade of Sony Vision Exchange (which will be available from June 2018) allows users to integrate Skype for Business, for a truly global learning, as well as access the new Personal Note Taker, to allow students to take notes in a better way. In short, version 1.1 offers improvements in the workflow and even better supports interactive teaching, eliminating, thanks to the integration with Skype for Business, the logistic problems of distance learning. Skype for Business, in fact, is one of the most widespread tools of distance communication in business and training contexts, which will now be natively integrated into Vision Exchange. In this way, the contents can be shared among multiple users within a work group, regardless of the location of each participant.
The update applies to two main units series PEQ-C100 and PEQ-C130, and to the PC Pod PES-C10 software. Vision Exchange is also compatible with all Sony BRAVIA Professional Interactive Displays.
The updated software will be available at no additional cost for the first year after purchase. In this way, current owners of 1.0 version can easily take advantage of the new 1.1 software. For future updates, Sony offers the Software Upgrade Program (SUP) that will provide users with an annual subscription.
In addition to those already mentioned, the main innovations of the upgrade are the new HDMI input to support the PC software PES-C10, the BYOD screen mirroring enabled with the main OS platforms, the new exclusive feature Sony “Quality of Service (QoS)”, to optimize mirroring connectivity, and multilingual support (German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and English). Finally, also important are the addition of a third-party box (AverMedia’s DarkCrystal CD750) for the HDMI acquisition and the Streaming Option support for the PC software PES-C10 (which requires optional license PEQA-C30).
