All are software and all share the same goal: ease and streamline the integrated management of digital signage systems. Let’s look at the primary distinctive qualities of this unique family from LG Electronics.
Gathered under the common name LG SuperSign, and under the leadership of the top of the line SuperSign CMS, is a family that in reality is structured and elaborate, rich with features and offerings, but entirely dedicated to integrated management in the realm of digital signage. In fact, just as there are historic households that have linked their names to the production of wine, agricultural machinery, or beer, etc., in the same way in technology we seem to be seeing now and again the birth of “specialized families” whose names become immediately synonymous with something. In the case of LG SuperSign, the name immediately refers to the creation and distribution of multimedia content, as well as monitoring and remotely controlling screens. SuperSign solutions are not frightened by the extensiveness of systems: they can operate in all environments, from banks to retail stores of all sizes to airports, wherever digital signage can blossom and flourish.
New technologies for digital signage
Taking a closer glance at the family, let’s start with the “youngest” ones: LG SuperSign WB and LG Simple Editor. The first is a calibration software for regulating White Balance in video walls. It works in two modes with a camera and sensor. After measuring the color of each screen, the regulation standardizes the quality of the complete image. Equally useful is the LG Simple Editor, which is applied for modifying and distributing content explicitly intended for the LG SuperSign TV series. Content can be distributed via USB or network connection.
In any respectable family, however, there is need for someone who carries out tasks related to control and monitoring! This is where SuperSign Control and SuperSign Control+ come into play. SuperSign Control is a local network control software able to manage up to one hundred screens and allows for remotely controlling power supply, volume and programming, in addition to potential firmware updates. SuperSign Control+, on the other hand, also offers (in addition to remote management) real-time monitoring in an all-in-one software. Through a single server, screens are controlled by various accounts and are divided into categories and groups based on their status, thus improving management standards, especially in broad systems.
All-in-one management with CMS
Now we come to the head of the family, SuperSign CMS: all-in-one software for creating and distributing content (even pre-programmed), which puts over one hundred different templates for any possible need and application at the fingertips of the user, as well as a quantity of special effects and transition effects aimed at simplifying and improving content creation. Setting up a playlist, it is possible to program the distribution of content on multiple screens through a single server (even remotely). All users need is a smartphone or a PC to manage the entire playlist. SuperSign CMS succeeds in uniting immediacy and versatility, as administrators are free from the chains caused by various types of screens or the location’s traits, and they feature a particularly intuitive graphic interface, a content editor for that works well for non-expert users and many completely customizable templates.
The true treats are the touch applications, which allow for adding interaction effects to content, and connection with external data, which allows for linking SuperSign CMS to text from external systems in XML, Excel or Database formats, thus further expanding the system’s scope. Finally, the support of SuperSign Media Editor is particularly suitable for Art Wall applications or for LG Ultra Stretch monitors, which require the adaptation of original formats.
