[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Electronics are not enough to structure the acoustics of an environment. A large amplification and diffusion system can be thwarted by an environment that’s not sufficiently receptive to audio. Here we go deeper into the Vicoustic catalogue and its products, distributed in Italy by Prase Media Technologies.

Prase is still growing and completing its availability of products to build perfect acoustic environments, especially in the workplace, in offices and in large open spaces where feeling good and feeling right, can make the difference between a quiet day and a stressful one. The partnership of the Portuguese company Vicoustic, for the exclusive distribution of the products in Italy, boasts a decade of experience in the field of acoustics and the study of environments. It has brought to the Prase catalogue innovative solutions for acoustic structuring of workplaces, with sound-absorbing and diffusion panels of all types and for all needs, modern and design.

Despite the many technologies present and available in the Prase offer, none were directly responsible for the acoustic treatment of the rooms until now. The quality of the Vicoustic brand therefore stands out as a further and important enhancement of Prase Media Technologies’ ability to offer complete AV solutions.

A few words about Vicoustic

Founded in Portugal in 2007, Vicoustic has developed very quickly thanks to its innovative and high quality products. The R&D section deals with developing acoustic solutions studied in detail to meet the needs of architects, system integrators and designers for all types of locations, from the more strictly musical field to broadcast, from hi-fi to home cinema, or for work and cohabitation places. Vicoustic’s team of engineers and designers routinely subject materials and products to severe stress tests, aimed at achieving maximum performance, to ensure uncompromising sound quality in any environment.

As Luca Battistelli, Business Manager of Prase Media Technolgies observes, “no electronic technology can revolutionise the acoustics of an environment, which is a determining factor in every audio project. Vicoustic will allow us to support designers, architects and system integrators from the earliest stages of design, implementing additional solutions to support AV technologies.” The cornerstones of the Vicoustic philosophy are sustainability (most of the products contain recycled or recyclable material), quality and innovation.

Sustainable workplaces

Today we focus in particular on the line of products that the Portuguese company offers for the workplace. The Work Spaces catalogue is rich and full of solutions for all needs, which can be further divided into two product categories: VicOffice Line and VMT Line, both characterised above all by concern for sustainability. In fact, many products in these series are made using green and recyclable materials, such as VicPET wool, a “non-woven fabric” mainly made from recycled plastic bottles and characterised by excellent acoustic performance.

But sustainability for Vicoustic is not limited to production. Indeed, the goal is to make the quality and durability of the products even more green and sustainable. In fact, a durable product requires fewer replacements and is environmentally friendly.

VicOffice Line: the workplace according to Vicoustic

The first series we deal with is VicOffice Line, made up of different types of products designed to make a shared working environment such as an office or an open space more comfortable from an acoustic point of view.

VicOffice Cloud

Let’s start with the elegant VicOffice Clouds, a suspended acoustic solution, simple and light, ideal for open spaces where the background noise created by conversations can quickly accumulate. Thanks to its suspended mounting, VicOffice Clouds has twice the area of absorbent material exposed compared to a common acoustic panel, thus being a very effective solution. VicOffice Desk Divider was instead developed to better manage privacy between workstations, visually dividing adjacent desks and, at the same time, helping to control office acoustics thanks to its sound absorption characteristics. It’s available in different sizes for all types of desks. It’s available in different sizes for all types of desks. Not to forget, then, the “classic” VicOffice Wall, an acoustic panel that can be assembled and disassembled on any wall. Being a very thin panel, with low performance in the medium frequencies, Vicoustic has developed an installation mechanism to create a gap between the glaze and the panel, thus increasing the performance in the medium/high frequencies.

Finally, since it may be necessary to temporarily divide your office to create new spaces or better use existing ones, Vicoustic proposes VicOffice Suspended Divider, a suspended divider that not only visually divides the space, but also controls its acoustics, to create environments in which to discuss and work is not stressful and tiring.

Vicoustic Flat Panel VMT

And now we come to the Flat Panel VMT series, panels for ceilings and walls designed to mainly work in the medium and high frequencies. The applications for VMT Flat Panels are many and varied (residential and commercial environments), both for new buildings and for renovation projects.

Flat Panel VMT

Vixagon VMT, for example, is a solution designed to muffle and reduce sound levels without excessive expenditure. It’s a product that can be used on walls and ceilings. The standard models have an elegant design and fit easily into many different aesthetics, especially in architectural spaces characterised by a marked originality. A smaller and more compact version, Vixagon Mini, is also available, which offers the same acoustic solutions but in a smaller and more manageable size, suitable for creating more chiseled and creative models. VicWallpaper, on the other hand, is an innovative way of managing not only acoustic but also thermal insulation in both residential and commercial environments. Manufactured in recycled EuroClass B PET and developed to operate on high frequencies, VicWallpaper improves speech intelligibility in places such as meeting rooms, living rooms or classrooms, and is also quick to install, requiring no skilled labour.

ViCloud VMT is also very interesting, a suspended acoustic solution ideal for restaurants, open spaces, conference centres, lobbies or any public space with a large concentration of people. This product, however, based on Vicoustic Virtual Material Technology, is customisable and adaptable to meet individual architectural needs. Finally, for those who need a light and simple acoustic solution, there is ViCloud 3D, a suspended panel to support and manage the sound where there are background noises, conversations and disturbing sounds. Available in a wide range of shapes and colours, ViCloud 3D panels can be installed in a variety of different spaces without the need for professional assistance and, most notably, have a long lifetime.
