After almost two years without the opportunity to participate in events and fairs, Sicurezza 2021 marked the reversal of the trend, and for Paso it was the first important opportunity to resume an interrupted (but never forgotten) conversation with end users and systems integrators.
A fair has always been, and still is, despite the covid, a splendid opportunity to meet in person, discover and touch the latest technological innovations; moreover, a fair has always been the main opportunity to make new acquaintances in the business environment, as well as to stimulate ideas and establish fruitful relationships. This is why the return of Sicurezza, with the much-desired edition of 2021, represented a breath of life for many, including Paso, a company that has its natural habitat in the field of security and EVAC systems.
We had a nice chat with the Export Manager Hasna Nahdi and the Sales Director Roberto Megazzini, about Paso’s participation in Sicurezza 2021 but not only, also about the novelties presented and future prospects for the company.
C – The presence of Paso at Sicurezza 2021, after the long stop of the fairs in attendance, was an important opportunity for meeting and discussion on the Italian territory. How did you experience the preparation of the event and the days of the fair?
HN and RM – We were very satisfied with our presence at Sicurezza 2021. It was undoubtedly an important opportunity to meet with our customers, with potential customers, with operators in the sector and with the domestic and international security chain. Many Italian visitors, but we were also satisfied with the presence of foreign operators who visited us with great interest in our solutions. So much was the desire to return to an event in presence and in “sicurezza” that for a few days, wearing our Paso face mask, we forgot a little about this very complex and absurd period. During this fair, Paso was able to actively take part in forums on safety and its state of the art, in the light of new DM updates and/or design or installation regulations.
C – The official numbers say that the fair went well, but what impressions did you collect, on the fair and on the market in general, from the operators who visited the Paso stand?
HN and RM – It was a particular edition. In fact, despite the absence of some important exhibitors in the sector, the performance of the fair was not compromised at all, and expectations were not disappointed. The visitors we welcomed to our stand were all technicians in the sector, highly qualified and interested in our EVAC systems. The impression is that the market is recovering very quickly, but above all we had a clear awareness that EVAC systems are no longer considered optional systems and not strictly necessary, but have now reached an important role in the world of safety and IRAI systems.
C – For the occasion you have officially presented the PAW Mini solution. What are its salient features?
HN and RM – Production of the PAW Mini solution started last July but we took the opportunity of the fair to officially present the new PAW Mini range to the market. These are five models of very compact EVAC control units, with a power from 100 W to 250 W, easy to install and very simple to program. Since it is a well-known family of products, the interest in these machines has been considerable. Many possible applications: small shops, restaurants, fast food restaurants, civil buildings (according to Ministerial Decree 25/01/2019) etc. Paso therefore today covers, with the two PAW & PAW mini families, a power range that goes from 100 to 1000 W with applications ranging from small shops to large stadiums.
C – What are the most promising market trends? Are you working on other news for 2022?
HN and RM – We are increasingly aware of the growing trend of EVAC systems, where we want to be absolutely present with our 100% Made in Italy products as they are designed, designed and produced at home, in Italy. The upcoming novelty for 2022 is the expansion from 6 to 15 PAW units that can be connected to each other to create ever larger systems even with such compact machines: this in view of the simplicity of installation and maintenance but above all of a safety that, in the face of failure of the control panel, guarantees the operation of the system with all the units connected. Another novelty, which might please our customers, is the design of accessory modules that can connect our PAWs to a LAN. But we will talk about this shortly! Paso will continue, as it has done in the past and as it is currently doing, to give voice in total safety to the evacuation of small and large environments.
