LG Electronics takes another step towards redefining the standard for commercial display technology by launching LG MAGNIT, a new Micro LED solution for digital signage.
Very sharp images, with deep blacks and extremely realistic colors, plus the advantage of a simplified installation: these are the essential features of LG MAGNIT, the new Micro LED solution by LG for digital signage, recently launched in key markets such as America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.
This new solution is characterized first of all by the proprietary Black Coating technology, which allows high image quality with greater display solidity and, secondly, by a “block” assembly that simplifies installation procedures. Micro LED technology is based on micro-scale self-emitting pixels, directly applied to the substrate, which can provide sharper images, improved contrast and a wider viewing angle. Black Coating, LG’s new technology applied to LED modules, was designed to improve contrast and color accuracy, while helping to protect LED pixels from moisture, dust and external impacts. It’s, in fact, an anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint technology, which represents an undoubted step forward in the field of displays.
Ultimately, LG MAGNIT is a versatile, EMC Class B certified solution for residential use which, in a 6×6 configuration, allows for a 163” display with 4K UHD resolution. Thanks to LG’s integrated webOS smart signage platform, LG MAGNIT allows the user to intuitively browse the web and easily control numerous functions.
The α7 image processor, based on AI (Artificial Intelligence), is the same processor as high-end LG TVs, and is able to analyze the content and the source optimizing visual output automatically and in real time. Finally, as regards the installation, the individual cabinets of the LG MAGNIT Micro LED measure only 600 x 337,5 x 44,9 mm and are easily connected to each other, allowing technicians to install even large displays directly on site. Thanks to the integrated connectors, LG MAGNIT allows you to transfer power supply and video signal in cable-less mode.
To underline the importance of this novelty, here is a comment by Paik Ki-mun, President and Head of the Information Display business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company: “It is always exciting to present innovations in the LED signage field” – he said – “and we are particularly excited to introduce our LG MAGNIT lineup, which offers high image quality, expandability and simplified setup and is the perfect Micro LED signage solution for a wide variety of commercial and public spaces, including convention centers, lobbies of companies and hotels, luxury boutiques, television studios, control rooms, exhibition halls and museums.”
A novelty that will certainly be talked about in the coming months.
