Comm-Tec, as Exertis group, offers exclusively for its customers in the AV world a new UV-LED photcatalytic air sanitizer that removes viruses, bacteria and harmful gases from the environment
AiroDoctor is a device that can be very useful in any environment, in this pandemic period in which the workplace, especially if frequented by many people, are exposed to potential risks of environmental contamination. Studies carried out by scientists from Princeton and Los Angeles Universities as well as the National Institutes of Health show that the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus can remain active in the air “for up to 3 hours after aerosolization”, while it remain on plastic and other surfaces for up to three days.
AiroDoctor, thanks to the combination of four filters, an element that differentiates it from other air purifiers, is able to keep the air free of viruses, bacteria, unpleasant odors and allergens. The structure of the device is as follows:
– Prefilter: filters the largest particles
– Activated carbon filter: filters out the smallest particles, odors and harmful gases
– HEPA particulate filter: traps particles down to 0.3 µm
– UV LED photocatalyst: decomposes viruses and bacteria
In practice, therefore, it’s an air purifier that not only captures dust and other substances thanks to the HEPA particulate filter and the activated carbon filter, but radicalizes the sanitization of the air thanks to the Titanium Pro UV LED photocatalytic filter, which is able to decompose harmful substances, odors, viruses and pathogenic bacteria as soon as they come into contact with its titanium dioxide surface. Decomposition is immediate and complete, and does not release waste substances that are harmful to humans (for example ozone).
The effectiveness of the product has been tested in laboratory: several international institutes confirm the application advantages of photocatalytic technology, with the neutralization of 99,9% of bacteria such as E. coli, salmonella, rotavirus, norovirus, influenza virus and coronavirus.
