In a hyper-connected world, even the city has to rely on a visual communication system to communicate with its citizens and visitors. The city of Treviso has chosen a DOOH (Digital Out Of Home) solution consisting of LG displays and LEDWall Absen.
“We started to develop the project in 2019 with a first phase that saw the implementation of thirteen LCD and LED totems in the nerve centres of the city” commented Ivan Bortoletto, Technical Sales Office at Emergo “giving space to direct communication between the municipality and the citizenship”. The municipality of Treviso relies on a digital signage solution conveyed by LG professional displays that allows a centralised control and management of the contents, spreading notices and information about the life and appointments of the city in a timely and widespread way.
The positive experience with this first phase, in which the team in charge was able to fully exploit the new DOOH system without running into any problems or technical setbacks, has led the municipality of Treviso to turn to Emergo with confidence for a second communication upgrade project. In spring 2021, the LED road signs along the arteries leading to the city centre were replaced with LEDWall Absen, which allows for full-colour and fully customised communication, as well as being accurate and clearly visible to motorists.

The four LED walls of 4sqm each were made with Absen AW3.9FL outdoor panels, selected mainly for their IP65/54 protection and extremely resistant die-cast aluminium construction. The 3.9mm Pixel Pitch, 3840Hz refresh rate and H160° – V125° viewing angle ensure perfect readability in all weather and light conditions.
