Important success for Christie technology in the medical field: the HD14K-M projector was chosen for the first live transmission of an eye surgery
Christie, through its partner Tecnicongress Audiovisual, points out in all respects: HD14K-M projectors have been selected for the first transmission of live vitrectomy surgery in Spain in passive 3D and full HD. More than 200 ophthalmologists and surgeons from all over the country were able to watch live four eye surgery at the Department of Ophthalmology of the General Hospital of Elche, thus benefiting from a very interesting vision of the microsurgery techniques.
Tecnicongress Audiovisual has built the AV system, taking 3D images, scheduling 3D medical equipment and transmitting this full HD feed to two 3DLP HD14K-M 13.500 lumens projectors on 8,3 x 4,6 meters screen in the Elche Congress Center.
For the first time, therefore, doctors could observe the work of four of the best surgeons in Spain, the techniques used and their complexity. A noteworthy achievement for Christie’s projection technology.
