On February 12, the Goya Awards ceremony took place at the Queen Sofia Palace of Arts in Valencia: 28 prizes in the various categories, with Javier Bardem and “The Good Chef” rulers of the event. 136 Cameo moving heads were used to illuminate this important ceremony.
Presented by the Academy of Film Arts and Sciences, the Goya Award is the Spanish counterpart to the American Oscars, and awarded the best Spanish films of 2021. Winner of the 36th edition, “The Good Chef” garnered six awards in as many categories. The task of the integrator Adisar Media was not simple: to highlight the best of the Spanish cinema scene, for a gala evening that had to be perfectly successful. The award ceremony was in fact broadcast live by channels such as RTVE, La1, TVE International, RTVE Play and RNE.
Adisar Media of the Mediapro Group, in collaboration with the lighting designer Iñaki Irastorza, was responsible for the lighting in the Palace of Arts. By choosing Cameo, a brand of Adam Hall Group, Irastorza and Adisar Media opted for a complete and impactful solution. The project included 24 Cameo OPUS X PROFILE, moving heads were used as front lights which, with their high light output of 33.000 lm and a CRI value> 90, proved to be the ideal choice for the front light.
Furthermore, the effect was enhanced by fascinating gobo projections on stage. Irastorza used a total of 48 Cameo OPUS H5 Beam Spot Wash hybrid moving heads for stage effects, complemented by another 16 Cameo EVOS W7 LED Wash moving heads for stage effects. Finally, 24 Cameo OPUS X WASH provided the basic lighting for the show, on which the fascinating and effective lighting effects were built.

The great success of the 2022 Goya Awards ceremony can only push Adisar Media to use the various Cameo products again in other important events. There is no doubt, in fact, that the investment in the Adam Hall Group’s brand has paid off, made evident by the enthusiasm both of the organizers and, more importantly, of the spectators.
