Panasonic has introduced a new range of professional 4K displays, consisting of six models that stand out for image quality, flexibility of use and ease of installation.
The new entry-level EQ1 displays cover a range from 43” to 86”, support both vertical and horizontal installation and offer a brightness of 350 cd/m2. Characterized by a slim and elegant design, this new 4K range from Panasonic also boasts a rather thin frame (between 11,9 and 15,2 mm), which allows you to take full advantage of the screen area, and is suitable for shopping centers, showrooms, meeting rooms and classrooms.
The two larger models (86” and 75”) integrate the In-Plane Switching technology, which ensures even more accurate colors and very high visibility even when observing the screen off-axis, from a secluded position. Connectivity is guaranteed in all new displays by the two HDMI ports, HDCP 2.2 compliant, capable of supporting DRM (Digital Rights Management) content. In addition, a dedicated system provides automatic compensation in the presence of non-4K content, improving the final rendering of the image. Similarly to all the displays of the same class, the new EQ1 series provides a VESA connection, with HDMI-CEC function that allows remote control via an interlocking system between devices. The input signal detection function helps
to improve the efficiency of displays in meeting rooms.
The new series is also compatible with Panasonic’s Multi-Monitoring and Control Software, which allows monitoring and control of single or multiple displays. This is a free software that provides basic control functions, which can be upgraded with the optional Early Warning Software, when multiple displays are connected to each other on the network.
Moreover, thanks to failover and failback support, in case of interruption of the main audio or video signals, the system is able to automatically switch to alternative signals, and then return to the main ones once restored.
“The EQ1 series has been designed to really simplify the installation, configuration and control of different displays” – says Hartmut Kulessa, Panasonic Marketing Manager. “Each screen simply adapts to the signage mode, thanks to the integrated USB media player, which allows you to view content in 4K and Full HD without having to use any external cables or additional decoders. This also allows synchronized playback of contents on different devices via USB and LAN ports, with the further possibility of setting a timer to program switching on and off, as well as the contents to be shown.”
