April 2022 saw the completion of the boardroom of the White Missionary Fathers of Africa in Rome, used by the congregation for conference and council meeting sessions.

The most important meeting is held every five years to elect the new representative of the Missionary Fathers. The congregation’s need was to have an environment where they could meet in conference (often with the need for a simultaneous translation system) and where they could conduct council voting.

The environment was already being used for presentations and small group meetings, but it needed a technology upgrade because the equipment present was outdated and undersized.

System integration company Decima 1948 was responsible for the technological renovation of the hall, in close cooperation with companies Ares Line and Mason for the furniture and structure part.

“The uniqueness of this project lies in the strong integration between the furniture and the installed technologies”- commented engineer Marco Trame, who oversaw the design and implementation of the project on behalf of Decima. “Ares Line made the stalls benches ad hoc, while Mason took care of the semicircular grandstand, this allowed Decima the timely insertion of the Televic conference bases and to distribute the wiring in an orderly manner. Ares Line also made the front desk at the stalls, dedicated to the speakers, into which the reminder monitors are integrated. On the sides above the stalls, two plasterboard rooms were created, used as a control room and translation booth, paying special attention to their acoustic insulation and in compliance with ISO 2603.”

To enable council conference and voting activities, Decima chose the following Televic technologies:
