The first novelty one comes across when visiting Screenline’s booth at ISE 2023 is the technological upgrade of the motorized screen series, in particular the new hybrid motor, wired and with integrated remote control, which offers the possibility of connection to all devices in a home automation key, and which is much quieter than previous models.<\/p>\n
Also new are the new Eclipse series sound-absorbing blinds, suitable for applications such as conference rooms, home cinemas, and auditoriums. In addition to filtering sunlight, these curtains offer sound absorption that can improve the acoustic aspects of the environments in which they are used. Designed with the collaboration of sound engineers, the Eclipse curtains are designed not to impact the design of rooms too much and are printable, so users can put their logo or whatever image they want on them to personalize the environment.<\/p>\n
Anna Pallanch, Screenline’s Area Manager, whom we met at the company’s booth at ISE 2023, took stock of the innovations and added some interesting remarks: “Our strong point”-she told us-“is always customization. We follow the customer’s needs to the centimeter! Regarding large screens, we have implemented theater screens according to the dictates of the DIN-56950 standard. This is a technical standard for screens up to twelve meters base. In Italy, it is not yet required, but abroad it is, so we have preferred to take it further. The Maximilian screen, for example, already reflects the criteria of this standard, and it has been certified.”<\/p>\n
Impossible, however, to deal with a brand like Screenline, not address one of the “hottest” issues in the market, the comparison between projection and ledwall. Anna Pallanch gives us, in this regard, a balanced answer: “Compared to the ledwall, a screen can reach larger sizes, and the projection technology, being with reflected light, tires the eyeless. Also, with the projector, you have somewhat lower costs on average, especially on large sizes, and also in terms of weight and maintenance needs, projection is a winning technology: it weighs less and requires less maintenance. Then a lot depends on the application, in my opinion, these are two complementary technologies, one does not necessarily exclude the other.”<\/p>\n
So, let’s close this examination of Screenline’s ISE 2023 by taking a look at the company’s proposals for the museum, home cinema, and educational fields. “For us, the museum remains a very important application” – Anna Pallanch confirms – “usually involving rear projection and interactive screens. The collaboration with Epson has led to interactive and immersive proposals, also for education. Today, the student must be able to interact with the image. Finally, regarding projectors, we have the Vava brand for the home cinema line, of which here at ISE we exhibited a model with ultra-short optics, combined with an ALR screen for ambient light situations. The home cinema market in recent years, thanks to covid, has grown a lot,” was Anna Pallanch’s conclusion.<\/p>\n
