RCF has launched a new series of amplifiers that condense all the company’s experience in power amplification, with attention to size: the XPS series amplifiers occupy only 2RU, ideal for mobile tours and installation applications.

RCF’s new XPS 16K and XPS 16KD, now available for pre order, deliver high power with four 4000W Class D continuous power outputs for both touring and installed audio systems. Each model features four analog and digital AES/EBU inputs/outputs, Dante networking capabilities and a full set of signal processing, tuning and routing tools, all at 96 kHz. Redundancy and scalability are standard in advanced, modular circuit design. A full set of RCF speaker presets is also available, with signal processing and routing capabilities for full system tuning.

Each XPS 16K amplifier combines two 40-bit/96kHz floating-point SHARC DSP chips and two other 32-bit DSP chips to independently handle audio processing and signal routing for maximum sound quality and necessary redundancy. A large 4.3” TFT color capacitive touch display positioned on the front panel provides full control of the amplifier. Not only that: the proprietary RDNet Over Ethernet management network and the compatibility of the OSC protocol allow the system manager to have complete remote control of the amplifier.

Finally, as regards safety, RCF amplifiers are completely self-protective and designed according to a “continuous audio” principle, with all the fault protection functions set individually for each amplifier and power supply channel. The new XPS 16K also implement various security strategies with fast and slow protections at both the firmware and hardware levels. The concepts of scalability and resilience are interpenetrated in the RDNet-OE converged network, which carries audio and control in a simple and secure way, with priority management.
