Replacing the DDS 5900<\/strong><\/a> system and offering a more modern and attractive design and a remarkable ease of installation and use, the new Shure MXC605<\/strong><\/a> takes all the advantages of the well-known Microflex Complete<\/strong><\/a> family. Ideal completion of the MXC line<\/a>,<\/strong> the new MXC605<\/strong><\/a> is an entry level solution for discussions and meetings that are not excessively complex, especially in the government sector. With this addition, Shure<\/strong><\/a> completes the transition from DIS series<\/strong> products for conferences and discussions, and aims to offer a complete portfolio of conference solutions for all types of budgets, without sacrificing Shure<\/strong><\/a> quality standards and technology. For owners of the DDS 5900<\/strong><\/a> system, future firmware updates will also support discontinued equipment and allow for mixed applications between MXC<\/strong><\/a> and DDS 5900<\/strong><\/a> products.<\/p>\n

\nBasically, the MXC605<\/strong><\/a> is a small, nimble conference table unit for use with the Shure MXC digital system<\/strong><\/a>, and is equipped with controls, high-quality speaker, lockable goose neck microphone connector and 3,5 mm<\/strong> stereo headphone jack. Powered by the central unit or an additional MXC<\/strong> power supply, each MXC605<\/strong><\/a> unit, which measures 75<\/strong> x 171<\/strong> x 168mm<\/strong> and weighs only 650 g<\/strong>, supports all conversation modes in the MXC system<\/strong><\/a>: Automatic, FIFO, Manual<\/strong> and VOX<\/strong> (voice activated ). In addition, the answer option allows short questions or comments to a speaker without losing the order of bookings.
\nThe unit connects to the DIS-CCU central control<\/strong> using the proprietary DCS-LAN<\/strong> protocol over CAT5e<\/strong> (or higher) F\/UTP<\/strong> or U\/FTP<\/strong> cables. The DCS-LAN protocol<\/strong> carries power, audio and control data through the units connected in a chain using a proprietary codec to prevent unauthorized listening to the audio signal.
\nThe speak button allows the participant to on\/off turn the microphone or to submit the request to speak. The button and microphone LED rings illuminate to indicate that the microphone is on and the participant is in the request queue.<\/p>\n

\nThe chairman is able, from his position, to selectively deactivate the microphones or to exclusively grant the floor. Among the additional features there are four channels for interpreting, while the headphone jack allows the user to easily switch from the floor channel to the interpreter channels.
