Beyond the big news represented by the new RC400T event controller, Analog Way’s ISE was characterized above all by the very important upgrades for the well-known LivePremier and Picturall series

The new product is the RC400T event controller, available from February and showed for the first time at ISE 2020; no less important, however, the news that Analog Way has announced in Amsterdam for the LivePremier and Picturall series.

The LivePremier range, 4K/8K multi-screen live presentation systems, saw the recent introduction of Aquilon RS alpha, which led the series to include five pre-configured products and two customizable models. Aquilon offers up to 24 inputs and 20 outputs and up to 24x 4K layers. Aquilon combines real-time 10/12-bit 4:4:4 video processing power and pure 4K60p on each input and output with ultra-low latency. With the native Dante audio routing capability, up to 64 channels of audio can be embedded or de-embedded over a Dante network. “The new major software upgrade v2.0 – Demtrio Faroldi, EMEA Sales Director di Analog Way explains – “includes many new features and enhancements. First of all, we have included in the LivePremier range the first switcher capable of converting the HDR signal, so we can mix SDR signals with HDR, HLG and HDR10 signals. This is a big news, because it allows us to drive both HDR and non-HDR displays, with all types of signal. In addition, we have enhanced the products with features that improve their performance, which is already very powerful. Another novelty is the addition of 12G-SFP fiber optic connections.”

The new RC400T event controller works in combination with the products of the LivePremier range: designed to offer an efficient show management system and to give instant access to the crucial functionalities of the LivePremier image processor, the RC400T comes with a rugged design for touring applications and offers 56 user programmable buttons, a high-resolution T-bar and a three-axis joystick for PiP sizing and programming.

“In addition to the switcher range” – says Demtrio – “we also presented some news for media servers; the new version includes the ability to content manage also via web, and provides for the addition of the Dante interface. We found a lot of interest from visitors to the LivePremier range, because they are very powerful products, which allow you to manage large surfaces both for installation and for live events. I am referring mainly to LED surfaces, but not only. These products cover the needs of medium-sized events right up to big events.”

Important upgrades have also been presented for the Picturall range, multimedia servers based on Linux software, which can also be controlled with third-party control systems via IP or ArtNet. The new software upgrade v3.0 includes new features such as the support of the high-performance and high-quality NotchLC 10-bit video codec.

And to conclude, the new DPH104 4K video wall processor was also presented, able to convert, with no added latency, one 4K DisplayPort output from a Picturall media server to four independent 1080p HDMI outputs. DPH104 does not require software or configuration and is a perfect fit for numerous video wall and soft-edge blending applications.

“The show was a success” – explains Demetrio – “despite adversity, first of all Coronavirus. The turnout, as far as we are concerned, was very similar to that of last year. For us, the latter ISE in Amsterdam means projecting ourselves onto the future, with many new ProAV and integration projects, a sector that interests us more and more, and with new customers, especially in the service sector.”
