The Wave & Co<\/a> LED screens were of fundamental importance to the success of the \u2018Mediterranean-peace border\u2019 event that was held in Bari and attended by thousands of people to assist the Mass celebrated by Pope Francis.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event that saw the city of Bari crowded with tourists and believers for the expected meeting between Pope Francis<\/strong> and the bishops of the Mediterranean has just come to an end. Focused on the migration crisis and the need to stop conflicts in the \u2018Mare Nostrum,\u2019 the event took place from the 19th to 23rd February, with the attendance of around 25,000 people, including the President of the Repubblica Mattarella<\/strong>, to attend the mass celebrated by the pontiff on the main stage, set up in the heart of the Apulian capital.<\/p>\n

In a context of such media relevance, Wave & Co has been the protagonist through its LED screens which, chosen by the well-known Apulian service International Sound which has masterfully orchestrated the works, have been of fundamental support for the success of the event.<\/p>\n

The maxi M-Pro 3.9 outdoor screens (4 x 2.5 m)<\/strong>, located on the main stage, and the numerous screens that were scattered along the path of the pontiff, helped to spread the pope’s message to the crowd of bystanders. From a visual point of view, the choice proved to be a winning one- thanks to the screen pitch being among the finest for the outdoor category, high resolution, brightness suitable for outdoor environments and a high refresh rate, excellent for shooting and broadcasting. Fast and safe assembly is guaranteed by the \u2018T\u2019 element that allows it to hang safely. Furthermore, the quick and effective locking, obtained through the fast lock mechanism, as well as the easy maintenance due to the magnetic modules and the all-in-one lock, make it the perfect rental screen for events like this.<\/p>\n

Pasquale Gennaccari<\/strong>, technical director of production for the event, says:<\/p>\n

“I am satisfied with the event: the video quality was excellent, the screens proved to perform perfectly. There weren\u2019t any problems whatsoever. After the usual calibration, there weren\u2019t any memory leaks, black pixels, lines of sorts and the rendering of the images with HDR input video signal proved to be excellent. I was also very satisfied with the audio\/video sync. In an event of this magnitude, when it is necessary to cover large surfaces, signal lag usually occurs. In this case, however, in the three main repeating towers (located at a distance of about 70 meters from each other) the video signal was perfectly synchronised with the audio. Another important detail in similar events is the speed of assembly and disassembly of the material, which is also fundamental for us in production. So I must say I was surprised and satisfied by the fact that, once the event was over and all the people had gone, within a few hours there was no longer any trace of technology on the streets of Bari!\u201d<\/p>\n
