\u201cThe side of Swann\u201d and \u201cThe side of Guermantes\u201d is the great division of the \u201cRecherche\u201d, the monumental novel by Marcel Proust; allow us to joke a bit, and adapt this division to the 2019 edition<\/strong> of SICUREZZA<\/a>,<\/strong> the most important Italian trade fair for security, alarm systems, video surveillance and Smart Building.<\/strong> Just the pavilion (the \u201cside\u201d or the \u201ccot\u00e9\u201d) dedicated to the Smart Building<\/strong> saw the participation of D-Link<\/strong><\/a> this year.<\/p>\n

Why this choice? The company\u2019s marketing manager, Sara Mariotti<\/strong>, explains it to us: \u201cIt\u2019s true, this year we have moved to the smart building side, for the first time since we participate in this fair. The goal was to get closer to the electricity world, to be present not only on the vigilance side, but also for the network infrastructure. Commercially, the idea is to push our industrial switches and Nuclias<\/a>,<\/strong> our Cloud networking management solution, perfect for installers and retailers who want to increase the offer to customers, providing not only the equipment but also a 360\u00b0<\/strong> network management structure.\u201d<\/p>\n

In short, D-Link<\/strong><\/a> wanted \u2013 this year \u2013 to broaden its horizon and target new and wider categories of users, with suitable products. \u201cExactly\u201d \u2013 confirms Sara Mariotti<\/strong>. \u201cVisitors to our stand this year are essentially installers and system integrators, the categories we wanted to intercept. There was an excellent turnout, very much in target, also thanks to the fact that the Smart Building pavilion<\/strong> is slightly \u2018detached\u2019 from the rest of the Fair, and for us it was the ideal choice, we positioned ourselves consistently with the solutions we want to propose.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nLet\u2019s take a look, then, at these solutions, starting with the new industrial switches: the DIS-200G-12S<\/a> managed switches<\/strong> and the new DIS-200G-12PS managed PoE<\/a> switches,<\/strong> specifically designed to operate in a wide range of industrial environments, including at extreme temperatures (between -40\u00b0<\/strong> and +75\u00b0<\/strong>), without internal moving parts, so as to reduce the need for maintenance and assistance. The fanless housing has also been optimized to facilitate heat transfer. All DIS switches<\/strong><\/a> have a 5 year<\/strong> warranty. Among the security cameras, the new panoramic<\/strong> 5-megapixel Fisheye Vigilance model DCS-4625<\/a><\/strong> is definitely worth mentioning, to guarantee 24\/7 security<\/strong> for companies and large areas, thanks to 360\u00b0<\/strong> coverage and the high resolution sensor with system for correcting image distortion.<\/p>\n
