We spoke, during the ISE in Amsterdam, with Simone Cifelli, Field Sales Engineer of NEC Display Solutions Europe, who briefly illustrated the company\u2019s wide offer of projection, collaboration, LED and Video wall.<\/strong>
\nThe stand of NEC Display Solutions<\/strong><\/a> at ISE 2019<\/strong><\/a> was an effective representation of the variety of proposals of a company that aims for 2019<\/strong> to continue on the path traced in previous years: to carry out different market sectors, in particular projection, display and collaboration, without forgetting the control room environment. Let\u2019s start with the new 35.000 lumen native 4K laser projector<\/a>,<\/strong> derived from film, displayed together with a 10.000 lumens 4K interpolated lower model.<\/strong> As Simone Cifelli<\/strong> points out, \u201cthere is a great difference between native 4K<\/strong> and interpolated 4K,<\/strong> obviously these are two very different machines in terms of performance and price range, but it\u2019s important for us to have different proposals for all types of needs and customers.\u201d

\nPresent in the stand, and interesting, also the new super quiet 5.000 lumen projector,<\/strong> which produces a noise between 22 dB<\/strong> and 27 dB.<\/strong> Very useful for contexts in which noise is contraindicated, this projector is laser technology, with a sealed optical unit, without filters, which gives it a life of 20.000 hours<\/strong> without maintenance.
\nAnd we come to the LED walls<\/strong><\/a>, great protagonists of ISE<\/strong> by NEC<\/a>.<\/strong> \u201cWe presented this year\u201d \u2013 said Simone Cifelli<\/strong> \u2013 \u201cthe new FA series<\/strong>, Fine pitch Advanced<\/strong>, with a new LED that allows for a better viewing angle. In addition to the classic 16:9 and square formats, we also present all-in-one solutions,<\/strong> with HDMI inputs,<\/strong> or bundle solutions<\/a>,<\/strong> with different sizes, to be assembled to simplify the commercial approach. There are different sizes available, for configurations from 110\u201d<\/strong> to 165\u201d.<\/strong> Obviously, the pitch between the pixels changes each time, increasing depending on the size of the configuration. These are very practical products, without cables, and we can also offer very bright outdoor models.\u201d

\nOn the videowall side, instead, the novelty is the new calibration engine. \u201cThe factory calibration data\u201d \u2013 says Simone Cifelli<\/strong> \u2013 \u201care stored inside each panel. Well, with the new system, for the overall calibration of an installation, it\u2019s no longer necessary to give a relative target, but an absolute target can be assigned. You set the brightness you want and the monitor goes to reach it automatically. The LED wall<\/strong><\/a> requires a certain distance for appreciation. The videowall<\/strong> does not have this problem, a full HD is sufficient, and is ideal for large areas. For example, a 6×2 touch configuration<\/strong> is perfect for school and educational applications.\u201d
\nAnd here we are in the world of Collaboration, with the new version of Infinity Board<\/strong><\/a>, connected in dual mode. Based on Windows 10 Professional<\/strong>, the latest generation Infinity Board<\/strong><\/a> can take advantage of its native features and be connected to more touch. Also for Collaboration, the new CB series<\/strong><\/a> of entry level display with built-in Android player and simplified interface, designed to handle meetings and lessons, is very interesting. The reference market for this product is the Education.
\nFinally, the well-known Hiperwall<\/a>,<\/strong> which is not a news of ISE 2019<\/strong><\/a>, but continues to draw attention, especially for control rooms, an area in which NEC<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 Cifelli<\/strong> confirms \u2013 \u201cis decisely growing. Hiperwall<\/strong><\/a> offers a lot of flexibility and this is the winning card: a flexibility that a matrix will never give.\u201d
