There is no better way to emphasize this important transition than with the release of a new product. ATEN, a company at the heart of AV and IT connectivity for almost 40 years, releases its new VE1812 HDBaseT HDMI extender. The model carries 4K signals (HDCP-protected) up to 100m or FullHD up to 150m. With a Power over HDBaseT (POH) capacity, power supplies at the receiver side is rendered unnecessary, simplifying the setup. Other interesting features are the pass-through of RS-232 and infrared signals, which allow you to control the HDMI source device from the receiver unit (VE1812R) and simultaneously access the HDMI display device from the transmitter unit (VE1812T). IR signals can be extended in both directions.

Classrooms and conference rooms are the main settings for this model. Wired signal distribution limits quality loss and avoids signal interference. ATEN’s modular matrix switches (VM3200), splitters (VS1818T), cat-cables (2L-2910) all can be integrated to serve teachers and presenters the best possible presentation quality.

ATEN has been a member of the HDBaseT alliance since 2013, which has resulted in a wide range of mass media distribution solutions that carry uncompressed audio and video over long distances. HDBaseT is simple and cost-effective solution that using cat5/6 cables to distribute USB, Ethernet, power, audio-visual, infrared and serial signals. In 2017, ATEN has become a contributing member, actively engaging its R&D forces in the HDBaseT community. With an experience of nearly four decades in IT management and control, ATEN will help to accelerate the integration of AV and IT technologies occurring in the industry.
