Antycip Simulation, integrator of immersive Virtual Reality and 3D solutions and European leader for simulation software, inaugurated its Regional Demo Centre in Saronno, near Milan. This new Centre offers customers the company’s experience, committed to supporting a wide range of markets with tailor-made solutions for each project. Created with Barco’s projection partner, the Centre is equipped with three large display stations: flat, cylindrical and spherical screen.

The 180” flat screen is served by an ultra-short-throw Barco F50 UST projector. It can be used as a very large traditional display for strategic training and meetings, or alternatively as a stereoscopic display for Virtual Reality Cave.

The cylindrical screen area includes a 2.5 x 2 m display with a 180° field of view and three Barco F22 wide lens projectors to produce a continuous image by warping and blending. This type of display is used by a wide range of simulators ranging from flying to driving, from air traffic control to dashboard.

Finally, the structure of the spherical screen has a radius of 3.25 m, a vertical viewing field of + 14°; – 40°, and a horizontal viewing field of 120°, to reproduce a single continuous image by warping and blending from four Barco F50 projectors with EN55 lens.

Riccardo Rovelli, Regional Manager for DACH and Italy for Antycip Simulation, commented on the inauguration of the Centre: “We are excited to open the doors of our first Regional Demo Centre in Italy. Customers can now visit the demo, training, testing and auditing area in a way that was not possible in the past, allowing us to be an even better partner for them, finding the solution that best suits the project requirements.”

Dave Fluegeman, Vice President of Barco, adds: “We are honored that Antycip Simulation has chosen Barco as its first projection technology partner to represent innovative projects and solutions in this unique facility. The combined effort highlights the strength and competence that each company makes on a project, both in simulation or in the field of Virtual Reality.”
