Exhibo has announced some interesting news from Allen & Heath. Starting with GPIO, General Purpose I/O module, for generic inputs and outputs. This module enables dialogue between dLive Surface and dLive Director software with the various devices in the environment, from EVAC to broadcast and theater systems (lights, tents, projectors, etc.). The device is equipped with three Euro-block connectors, one for eight inputs and two for the eight outputs; for the Cat5 connection to dLive MixRack or Surface (within 100m) there is a PoE socket, but power is also available via a DC 12V power supply. You can connect up to eight GPIOs, both rack and free, to a dLive system. To increase system expansion, you can use a DXHub module that connects to any dLive via GigaACE I/O port and has connections for four DX Link modules. The DX Link module has EtherCOn connectors with security hook and can be plugged into any dLive expansion port to increase the I/O distribution up to 32×32 audio channels (at 96kHz) for each DX Link port. In Parallel mode, you can connect a DX32 or up to two DX168/DX164-W port (cascading), while in Redundant mode you can connect a DX32 or a DX168/DX164-W port pair.

Finally, it was announced the new DM0 digital mixer, the most compact of dLive MixRack family with its 4U, also suitable for digital audio distribution. It contains a full XCVI processing core (160 × 64 FPGA), audio/video I/O ports, audio control and network. It can be controlled with a dLive Surface, laptop, iPad, Allen & Heath IP or third-party controllers via TCP/IP.

All dLive MixRacks have the same mix engine and can work with all 128 inputs and 64 outputs by adding DX expansions or digital sources.
