D-Link attended the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona (Hall 2 booth 2D21MR) with new solutions for Smart Home and Smart City of the future. The company presented new devices for connectivity such as high-speed M2M router, LTE hotspot for cars, smart sensors and the preview of the Covr system, a new way of conceiving the home wireless.

We start from the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) technologies, with the innovative DWM-320, a hotspot Wi-Fi for vehicles with OBD2 support, up to the DWM-312, a 4G LTE M2M router providing M2M data connectivity in real-time even in the most extreme environments, designed for complex installation such as ATMs.

The Wi-Fi LTE router and the D-Link portable hotspot combine the LTE Cat 9 technologies (with download speed up to 450Mbps) with dual-band Wireless AC, to allow multiple users to share a high-performance connection. The Hybrid DSL + LTE routers instead combine the speed of 4G LTE mobile connection to broadband of fixed DSL line.

For Smart Home, D-Link offered the newest Omna 180, full HD camcorder compatible with HomeKit, in addition to the next generation of Z-Wave sensors and the new Z-Wave Hub, which can support up to 50 sensors and devices inside the same system. Two new Wide Eye line camcorders has been presented with 180-degrees viewing angle and distortion-free technology.

Finally, Covr is the new device for the creation of home Wi-Fi network that combines wireless and powerline technologies to create a widespread network and without connecting swings. Hybrid Wi-Fi Powerline technology makes it easy to add wireless signal to areas that previously could not be reached by the network. “The MWC is an extraordinary opportunity to interact with our customers and partners and, at the same time, allows us to communicate technologically innovative ideas” – said Luigi Salmoiraghi, Sales & Marketing Director Southern Europe & UKI. “D-Link wants to have an active role in today’s digital, helping to integrate digital and ‘smart’ technologies in everyday life.”
