Digital transformation in the tech world and retail strategies are the two “main” themes of the Barcelona Main Stage. We can’t be there physically, but we are working hard to tell you all about them!
Keynotes are an integral part of ISE for me. Ever since I first attended this fair, unique in its mix of trends and innovations, I can never wait to find out who will be the main speaker, the distinguished guest who dictates the theme of each edition. Wide-ranging topics compared to what we normally “chew” on in the drafting of Connessioni, market trends, artistic ideas, mentality and technological innovations that transversally broaden our professional horizons.
On the Amsterdam stage I was lucky enough to appreciate the building ideas of the architect Carlo Ratti and the digital art of the video-projection mapping pioneer Bart Kresa. Always in a very crowded room (thinking about it now pains me…) and full of the enthusiasm and expectations that comes with the first day of the fair.
This year there may be no travel, but there is the same desire to know the trends of the first ISE at the Fira de Barcelona. A different event, marked by the pandemic, which tries to define the boundaries of the restart of the AV world. And also the needs of companies, integrators, professional applications and end customers. Could this be why Blackman and his team decided to double down? Two keynotes will be staged on 1st and 2nd June, with leading figures on the Spanish and international market. Marc Vidal, analyst, consultant and writer, recognised as one of the most influential personalities in the digital economy and Industry 4.0, opened the proceedings this morning. The speaker proposed a reflection on the “Digital Transformation for Tech-led Business.”
Tomorrow it will be María Callís Bañeres’ turn, a specialist in the retail world and president of the Retail Design Institute Spain. The title of the keynote, “Long Live Retail”, is emblematic in a moment of profound transformation of this business, between pandemics, physical spaces and e-commerce.
