Vision, a brand distributed on the Italian market by TechData‘s Maverick AV Solutions division, offers a rich catalogue of solutions for wall or ceiling mounting of monitors and projectors. Here is one of the most interesting proposals: VFM-F40, the motorised floorstand support for flat screens. What’s special about it? Vision’s VFM-F40 is suitable for large interactive or non-interactive displays. It is super-rigid, powerful, and comes almost completely assembled, but most importantly it is motorised.
Motorised height adjustment
The central column is a fixed 1.7 metres (5.6 ft) tall, with the moving assembly moving up and down the column 700 mm / 27.5″. The moving mechanism, operated by remote control, uses a roller-slide design with four quality bearings which glide up polished rails. The tolerances of bearings on rail result in zero unwanted movement.
The VFM-F40 uses components suitable for supporting the substantial weight of large format displays (up to 130 kg) and moves at about 2 cm per second. Transport and installation
This product is easy to transport and install. The column can be fixed at the desired height and Vision has also thought about cable management, with slots and cable ties. Finally, there is a space behind the front cover to hide cables, media players, mini PCs, and power distribution boards.
VESA 800 x 600
To facilitate the installation and integration of various technological equipment, the Vision mount complies with the well-known VESA 800 x 600 standard. In fact, this product includes Vision’s heavy-duty VFM-W8X6 wall mount which fits most large-format flat panels from 47-90″ subject to VESA pattern and weight limit. Vision’s larger VFM-W10X6 wall bracket can also fix to this column, or the smaller VFM-W6X4 and VFM-W4X4.
Optional
There are a number of optional extras that can be added to the stand:
- Optional laptop shelf: an optional laptop shelf can be fixed at four different heights, the laptop shelf can alternatively be fixed to the rear of the column with the addition of the VFM-F40RSBKT adaptors.
- Video conferencing shelf: this shelf fixes in the centre above or below the display. It accommodates cameras such as Logitech’s Rally, and also Logitech’s Meetup, Yamaha’s YVC-1000, or Barco’s Clickshare CSE-200 base stations.
- Optional rotation: a rotary bearing assembly can be added, allowing the display to be turned from portrait to landscape.
