At ISE 2020, Technological Innovations Group celebrates the first year of certainties and innovations, always in the sign of partnership with Crestron, but with the arrival of new partners and products
ISE is not just products, it is obviously also strategies, visions, future plans, and during the last edition we were lucky enough to be able to meet, for a long and exclusive interview, Petra van Meeuwen, Director of PR and Marketing TIG, and Robin van Meeuwen, President & CEO of TIG, just to talk about strategies, visions, projects. But let’s take a step back … what is TIG and how does it relate to Crestron? TIG (Technological Innovations Group) has been active since 2019 as an evolution of Future Vision Marketing (founded in 1987), its goal the same, which is to offer complex solutions to create “Smart Spaces”: integrated and intelligent environments. To mark the success of its first 12 months, TIG has inaugurated a new website, and has launched a clear message: consolidating it position as “point of reference” for smart solutions.
Alongside the partnership with Crestron (exclusively for the EMEA area), other functional distributions for the TIG project have been launched over time, including Oblong, Black Nova, Salamander and others. “Yes, we remain tied to Crestron as regards the EMEA countries” – Robin van Meeuwen told us – “but we are consolidating our vision and our strategy through new partnerships established with leading brands, with a view to further improving our park products, and especially our offer of complete solutions. Let’s say that if we started from the products, we are now more oriented towards the software side, to better develop the systems and adapt them to the needs of customers and users, in all application areas: AV, control, room booking, panels, management software … The point is that many people produce these types of products, so it is not easy to find strategies for improvement. ”
Let’s see then the main news in TIG world, starting from Salamender Designs, which creates high quality AV furnishing solutions, made to order and modeled according to customer needs. Products include AV cabinets, cinema seats, TV and tablet stands, conference tables and hospitality solutions for collaborative spaces. They are flexible furnishing systems, designed to adapt to specific audio and video products, and already able to integrate with many of the products that TIG distributes.
The German company Gude manufactures power distribution units (PDUs), remote monitoring systems and radio receivers. Crestron software modules can be used to control Gude’s PDUs.
In the Crestron stand at ISE 2020 it was also possible to admire the Black Nova solutions: ARIA, ALBA and ANY, collections of keyboards with an elegant Italian design, made with first choice materials and cutting-edge technology. And Black Nova inaugurates the partnership with TIG during ISE 2020: “For Corporate and Residential” – continues van Meeuwen – “we have the Black Nova brand, with its splendid design for meeting spaces of all sizes. It must be considered that the dynamics of the workplace and meeting environments is changing. There is no longer a single way of working. Workplaces are changing, we often work from home too, indeed, from anywhere! Technology allows all this, and companies are increasingly asking for solutions for collaborative environments. ”
Again a new partnership, Hoylu with Connected Workspaces is a new collaboration software that allows teams to share ideas in real time, from any device and at any time.
And we close with Oblong, a partnership that brings TIG the new Mezzanine, a technological platform for dynamic, simultaneous, multi-user, multi-screen, multi-device and multi-site visual collaboration.
“Our goal” – concludes van Meeuwen – “is to provide, in combination with Crestron, an ever more complete range of AV and IT technologies to create smart spaces. Our partnership with Crestron is always stronger: in the EMEA area we have offices in eleven countries, and each office includes an Experience Center (for Italy in Milan). Crestron fully supports us with its three offices: one in Germany for the training part, one in Belgium for logistics and customer support, and one in Great Britain for training. ”
So how was ISE 2020 for TIG? van Meeuwen has no doubts: “Very well! We are curious about moving to Barcelona next year, perhaps it took us fifteen years in Amsterdam where the trend has always been growing. ”
