What are the reasons that cause us to visit ISE year after year? And what, this year, will cause us to invest time and money in participating? Here is the latest news, events and opportunities of ISE 2017
Let’s start with the numbers: the fourteenth edition of ISE – which will take place in the usual location of the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre from 7-10 February 2017 – expects to attract over 65,000 visitors with more than 1,100 exhibitors. It will unfold across more than 3,000 m2 with the inclusion of a new, recently constructed pavilion and there will be no less than 135 new exhibitors, confirming its success with companies. ISE is indeed an ever more interesting stage for the entire AVC industry because it presents itself as a well-rounded event that unites innovation and communication, technology and professional training with world premieres, lots of networking opportunities, business initiatives and illustrations of new technologies still in the development phase.
What will ISE 2017 contain? On 6 February, the eve of ISE, the Pre Show Events will take place, with traditionally the Smart Building Conference, organized by ISE, and Connessioni’s AudioForum appointment, the day of in-depth analysis of professional audio that, on this occasion, celebrates its eleventh edition. In the evening, there is the opening ceremony with Ole Schereen, who will speak about architecture and urban development, and a reception for all participants will follow. ISE will once again this year concede a large amount of space to training: with the new formula of InfoComm’s Application Labs – two-hour sessions dedicated to various topics related to networking, such as hacking, data traffic analysis, and even HDBaseT -; with a new area entirely dedicated to Education Technology in Hall 13 and with an ample program organized by CEDIA and InfoComm International, which will address all the hot topics of the world of systems integration. Visitors will also have the chance to listen to case studies, technological innovations and market analyses in the new Smart Building Theatre, inside Hall 9, which will expand the offering of short seminars directly in the pavilions during the show: there will be five Show Floor Theatres. The Immersive Technology Zone, an area in Hall 8, is also a new addition this year. Produced and managed by HoloVis, it is dedicated to virtual reality, augmented reality and their related technologies.
Among the special events, alternatively, don’t miss the closing keynote by the CEO of Cirque du Soleil, Daniel Lamarre, which adds itself to other interesting appointments such as the Digital Signage Summit on 8 February and the Sports Venue Technology Summit on the 9th. In Hall 14, after 2016’s success, the Drone Area will once again be set up and on the 7th the highly anticipated InAVation Awards will take place . . . in other words, waiting for us once again this year are all the makings of a rich and engaging show!
