The right moment for LED

Two innovative LED series from Philips Professional Display Solutions that redefine industry standards in terms of performance, function and ease of installation.
After the success of the 110” prototype presented at ISE last year, Philips Professional Display Solutions followed the development of LED technology very attentively so that today they have a truly optimal solution for large-scale broadcasting. Exactly one year later, this is how the new indoor/modular LED range from Philips PDS was displayed to the public during the 2019 edition of ISE that has just concluded.
An original LED solution that, in line with Philips PDS’ “customer-centric” philosophy, offers truly exceptional performance and functionality thanks to an innovative design system that is also able to guarantee a surprising ease of installation.
“Our partners,” says Simone Gagliardi, Italy Sales Director at Philips PDS, “will be able to choose the solution that is best for them, combining dimensions and range, purchasing complete kits or single panels with components so that they can create their own personalized configuration. Our LED kits are configured according to the needs of clients and include panels, cables, frames, border-finishing kits, control systems and connection protection systems.”

The 27BDL91XXL LED series presents a new 27” module with three different ranges (1.2 – 1.5 – 1.9 mm). The Full HD version is available in 110”, 127” and 165” formats, while the Ultra HD consists of 220”, 275” and 330” models. The 27” panel is equipped with a high-quality, light and resistant cast aluminum casing designed for proper heat dissipation. Additionally, in order to obtain maximum precision in mounting, the support is further milled in order to allow for the close juxtaposition of the modules and make connection lines nearly invisible. Furthermore, thanks to an innovative system of modular locking, the panels can dock to each other without necessarily being all connected to the frame, thus offering broader creative possibilities in designing LED surfaces.
The second new LED series, 44BDL81XXL, presents a 44” module that is also available in three different ranges (2.8 – 3.9 – 4.8 mm) without frames or visible lines between the panels. Both new series are provided with Grade-A gold-cabled LED to guarantee exceptional color consistency, excellent contrast and very high brightness. “Even aspects connected to the ease of installation and continual functioning,” adds Daniele Tomé, Italy Technical Sales Manager at Philips PDS, “were analyzed with great attention. With this new LED range, we have easy access to the rear surface of the module so we can intervene in order to replace panels, cables and/or power supplies without having to remove the entire display from the wall.”
For the new LED range, Philips PDS offers a three-year product warranty, locally-managed post-sales assistance and client support service during the phases of design, installation, configuration and cabling, particularly in cases of very customized solutions.
