The latest extraordinary boat designed by NEXT Yacht Group is called “Maiora 30 Walkaround” and introduces a new design concept, which involves all five senses for an even more intense and complete sailing experience
With its 30,5 meters in length, 7,5 meters in width and its inter-deck characteristics, the “Maiora 30 Walkaround” is designed to offer its guests spaces (indoor and outdoor) of great habitability and capable of stimulating everyone senses. In fact, the yacht owes its name to the possibility for all guests on board to walk on the flybridge – from bow to stern – in total continuity, thanks to lateral corridors and large external surfaces, without any structural impediment. In short, it’s a luxury boat, which focuses entirely on its majestic shapes and on a 360° aesthetic expression. Luxury, in fact, while revealing itself in the preciousness of the furnishings and in the comfort of the spaces, is above all an all-encompassing experience, which involves all the senses.
K-array worked together with NEXT Yacht Group to develop a complete audio system that covers every space of the boat, giving everywhere the feeling of being in a real villa by the sea. A particularly modern and minimal interior design means that on board the “Maiora 30 Walkaround” everything is based on the architectural design, with particular regard to the living areas used for entertainment. Great attention was also paid to the aesthetic impact, so the “classic” loudspeakers that protrude from the walls were immediately excluded from the project, preferring to concentrate on giving a very present sound experience, strongly and clearly heard, but not seen. In short, the challenge consisted in answering the question: what would life on a luxury boat be like if the magic of professional audio blended perfectly with the furniture? In the home cinema room in the main hall, it was therefore decided to install a well-established audio/video project that has never been brought on board a boat: the SAMSUNG “Luxury LED for Home Wall” system which combines ultra-flat K-array speaker Vyper-KV25 – mounted in harmony with the pattern of the walls, wood and mirrors, to give a perception of space – with The Wall modular LED TV technology from Samsung. Listening is engaging and ideal for a high-performance DOLBY Surround audio system, but also, more generally, for music, with complete control over the sound through the electronics and K-array processors.
Another strong point of the “Maiora 30 Walkaround” is the flybridge. It’s an en-plein air area that measures approximately 120 square meters from bow to stern, where you can enjoy the sun, celebrate and dine in style. Here K-array has installed Vyper-KV52 speakers and a Rumble-KU212 sub that guarantees a very performing audio but always of maximum discretion. K-array also took full advantage of the discrete and invisible Lyzard-KZ14 micro speakers, installed for the occasion on the walls and customized in white RAL like the hull. It should be remembered, in fact, that K-array products offer customized finishes for Marine applications, able to withstand bad weather and oxidation caused by salt water. The internal components are also specially treated to repel water and avoid the pitting phenomenon. K-array carries out a cataphoresis treatment before powder coating, or screws are used in Ergal – a special aluminum alloy with mechanical characteristics.
And don’t say that, after reading, you didn’t feel like going for a ride on “Maiora 30 Walkaround”!
