The new SRX-R800 Series offers latest generation SXRD 4K Sony native technology, combined with a long-lasting laser light source
Sony Digital Cinema 4K launches a new interesting solution that offers a contrast ratio of 10.000: 1. The models of the new SRX-R800 Series are therefore the ideal choice for HDR content projection. In addition to providing native 4K images and a very natural color reproduction, laser technology offers well-known usage efficiency (no maintenance and long-lasting light source) and no grainy images. The source guarantees a brightness of 80% of the original up to 35.000 hours of use (depending, of course, on how the projector is used), thus reducing the need for maintenance compared to traditional xenon lamps.
Presented at CineEurope Barcelona, the SRX-R800 Series includes four DCI-compliant models (two available in Europe, SRX-R815P and SRX-815DS). The SRX-R815P offers a brightness of 15.000 lumens, while the SRX-R815DS, with its 30.000 lumens, is ready for 4K projections on modern Premium Large Format (PLF) screens.
All four projection systems can be easily configured for 3D projections, providing fluid images. Double projection systems (including SRX-R815DS) make it even easier to make 3D projections on the big screen without the need to replace optics. The operation of the projector is managed through a 15” color touch panel. The integration with Sony systems and other compatible Theater Management systems allows operators to set projectors, manage content, and create a complete programming in a simple way.
The 4X SRX-R815P and SRX-815DS laser projectors are now available in pre-order and will be available on the market in Europe during the winter 2017.
