There are just a few hours left before the start of Sicurezza 2017, at Fiera Milano from 15 to 17 November, this year happening concurrently with Smart Building Expo. Here is the news from last Thursday’s press conference.
The new format promoted by Fiera Milano and Pentastudio, which will see the joint presence of Sicurezza 2017 and Smart Building Expo, is aimed at professionals in the fields of electronic and electric plant design, building automation and systems integration in order to unite technological innovation in the security world with the integration of such products in smart buildings in a synergic way, towards new business opportunities in key sectors such as AV solutions, systems for efficiency and energy savings, and the Internet of Things.
“Fiera Milano has invested in this event for 35 years, and in recent editions we have witnessed a shift of focus from the product to systems integration, from the perspective of smart buildings,” commented Fabrizio Curci, Managing Director at Fiera Milano, during the press conference for the event’s launch. “Smart Building Expo’s innovation locks on to this trend and contributes to a forecast of +45% for exhibitors. Thinking about smart buildings in terms of the digital integration of products and solutions leads us to consider Smart Building Expo as a combination of factors that are useful for living a different ‘security’ than what is traditional.” Smart networking of buildings in fact involves a design that is capable of looking at both users’ security problems – including video surveillance, anti-intrusion and fire-prevention solutions – and those of energy efficiency or the management of light and other technological devices.
SIEC at Smart Building Expo, an opportunity for systems integrators
Beside the exhibit area, with numerous “new entries” from the world of systems integration and automation, Smart Building Expo offers a rich calendar of workshops and conferences, called to act as link between technologies seen firsthand in pavilions and their application in projects for buildings of the future. Standing out among these is the SIEC program for workers in the AV sector based on short track—that is, brief educational “capsules” that are focused on topics such as Museum 4.0, retail, Industry 4.0, transport and conclude with a meeting on the UNI (Italian National Unification) Reference Procedures for the certification of systems integrators. “Our objective is to establish a dialogue with the figures that interest us the most: architects, designers, IT specialists,” explains Roberto Vogliolo, SIEC advisor. “For years our association has worked with UNI to codify and make available rules for defining a ‘job done in accordance with best practices.’ We have always believed that creating the procedures and encouraging companies to pursue the road of certification are indispensable steps for giving value to the client and defending the market from competition that instead brings about devaluation.”
But the heart of the partnership between SIEC and Fiera Milano is the Audio Video Experience Lab, Thursday 16 November in the Leonardo hall from 10.30 to 13.30, a meeting created to stimulate the exchange of ideas and comments involving participants, which falls under the larger project Arch Integration, thanks to which 10 professionals from the AV sector will be able to live unforgettable educational experiences at Smart Building Conference and at ISE 2018.
