Between postponements and confirmations, the latest news from the main events in our sector.
Some of us love them because they are an inexhaustible source of inspiration and encounters, and some hate them because they require a lot of time and yet, despite the proposal of remote events, virtual and more or less immersive, they still remain an unparalleled opportunity to weave the business of tomorrow.
In this climate, ISE conducted a survey on the value of face-to-face events, underlining that 70% of people interviewed said they are ready to participate in a face-to-face show; ISE has been postponed to the period from 1 to 4 June, opening of pre-registrations will start in short, news that would sweep away doubts about the real possibility of holding the event. But there is also yesterday’s news from Messe Frankfurt which decided, after a consultation with the partners, to postpone again all the events of April and May 2021, including Prolight + Sound, thus relocated between 26 and 29 April 2022.
And then the Italian reality: in 2021 the recovery of some important events, currently confirmed, which wink at our sector is expected, first of all Smart Building Levante in Bari (25 and 26 June) and then in Smart Building Expo in Milan, in co-presence with Sicurezza, in its original dates from 23 to 25 November 2021. We are also awaiting confirmation from the MIR, scheduled for March, a date that is now very close.
Finally, the latest news from the “Fair of Fairs”: Expo 2021 in Dubai, which will open its doors on 1 October 2021. The new year has opened in Dubai with a spectacular mapping that also reminded us of the imminent date. In the meantime, our Ministry for Technological Innovation is managing the appointment just as seriously, which has signed a protocol with the Commissioner for the Italian participation in Expo 2020 with the aim of promoting, on the occasion of the Universal Exposition, a large comparison on the impact of digitalization for sectors such as robotics, mobility, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The agreement, we read in the press release, which will be developed both during the Expo semester and in the previous months, aims to incentivize activities that support the processes of technological innovation and digitization in the production fabric – in line with the 2025 Plan prepared by the led Department by the Minister Pisano “Strategy for technological innovation and digitization of the country” – as well as to orient the youngest towards new professions, characterized by transversal, multidisciplinary and multisectoral skills.
