[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In the situation of complexity that we are all facing, school is one of the most observed environments due to the high risk of contagion. Here, then, is the emergence of e-learning practices: and how many advantages there are to teaching lessons online, especially when there is only one product that needs to be installed!

In these pandemic months, schools have had to equip themselves to continue their activities with the highest degree of normality possible, while still reducing the risk of contagion for teachers and students. There is only one solution: investing in intelligent and high-performance e-learning systems, which are not a fallback but a real ‘alternative’ to study, learning and work. An innovative proposal such as the Maxell MA-XL1 Lecture Capture system could not arrive at a more suitable time.

A complete all-in-one system
Before exposing applications and potential, let’s look at the product in detail: what is MA-XL1? A projector? An IWB? An interactive touch monitor? A conferencing system?

None of the above, or rather: a bit of it all, gathered in a single product and reformulated according to a new way of understanding e-learning and connection between people distant in space. The first feature of the MA-XL1 is that it is, in practice, a simple workstation no larger than a bench recorder, easy to install, configure and use.

Suitable for all types of schools, MA-XL1 is proposed as a system for building virtual classrooms’ regardless of the geographical location of teachers and students. In short, the class is everywhere, thanks to the features of this new Lecture Capture system that allows the exchange of contents and documents, the streaming transmission and recording of lessons and, last but not least, the already mentioned creation of an interactive remote class… MA-XL1 does not aim for ‘simple’ videoconferencing: it offers the possibility of interacting remotely and allows the school to transmit and store useful teaching materials. Notes, diagrams, texts, documents, images and actual lessons, everything is recordable and remains usable for the audience connected to the network.

In short, professors are not destined to hold exhausting monologues, hoping that the students have followed and understood everything; on the contrary, they will be able to interact and base the lesson on a constructive dialogue with the class. All this by installing a simple base unit. The students, for their part, will be able to follow the lessons from anywhere, as long as they have an internet connection. Moreover, the RTMP protocol on which MA-XL1 is based supports the most popular display systems, such as YouTube. However, MA-XL1 is also compatible with the FTP / SFTP protocols of services such as Kaltura.

One for all
The winning feature of this system signed by Maxell, and distributed in Italy also by Adeo Group, is in fact the ability to gather the potential of various products. Video projectors, IWBs, touch monitors and so on are brought together in a single solution that, by itself, is able to transform the classroom environment.

All the e-learning tools are combined in a single control and management system, which allows the user to interact with many resources, including FullHD definition signals from HDMI, SDI or IP cameras and video and interactive signals from PC , up to the WUXGA definition. The unit is controlled through a simple menu that is displayed on the screen (or on any smart instrument) and which allows you to adapt the system to any type of need. An integrated 1TB hard drive provides large storage capacity for AV content, documents and multimedia files. MA-XL1 fits into any school context, regardless of the technologies already installed, and aims to make the most of them, being able to accommodate devices such as video cameras (fixed or PTZ), projectors, PCs, microphones, speakers, multimedia boards, etc.

A real ‘technological assistant’ for the teacher, designed to support those who hold lessons freeing them from worrying about the success of the connection, streaming or recording: the teacher will only have to think about carrying out his/her own lesson. For the rest, think MA-XL1.

To the delight of system integrators
A similar product, proposed for distribution on professional and non-consumer channels, can become the most classic – and winning – of the ‘Trojan horses’ for system integrators, today grappling with an increasing amount of orders from the world of instruction. If complex systems normally frighten school managers and teacher, what could be better than proposing an all-in-one system that requires the installation of a single multipurpose ‘base’, which collects, manages and distributes an amount of different inputs?

Not only that: as mentioned above, MA-XL1 fits very easily into existing systems, even ‘partial’ ones. Is a classroom already equipped with cameras or a projector? Excellent: MA-XL1 will come to give new life to already existing equipment, exploiting its potential to expand the classroom environment to remote participants. Furthermore, it will make it possible to record and review lectures or talks with a simple click of an icon, and the teacher can easily switch from one source to another by touching an icon on the screen (for example, from the PTZm camera that frames the overall environment of the class, at the signal of your PC to send a PowerPoint file ‘on air.’)

Zero worries and zero waste of time, for a school activity that is not slowed down, but enhanced by the technological means available to students.
