Cardioid K subwoofer and two E-Series models: these are the QSC news to improve the supply in the market of professional audio
QSC has announced the release of two new models of the well-known E-series. Introduced at NAMM 2016, this series are coming now in six models with the new E218SW subwoofer two 18” speakers and E215 two-way speaker with dual 15”. The E218 subwoofer is designed to meet the required reproduction of low frequencies at high power in large applications indoors and outdoors, and is equipped with two 18” drivers and 4” voice coil. The speaker system has a power up to 1800W continuous (6400W peak), developing a maximum SPL of 132dB. Any use on the ground is simple to ergonomically placed handles and anti-slip system.
The E215 is instead equipped with two 15” woofer and uses the frequency-shading tipology, minimizing the vertical lobe to the intersection with the high frequency. A 1.4” driver with 2.8” voice coil provides a transparent reproduction at high frequencies. Thanks to a power of 1200W continuous (4800W peak), the E215 is ideal for applications where it’s needed a strong SPL and a large extension at the bottom by a single speaker.
The new K series cardioid subwoofer amplified instead adopts an innovative design and an advanced DSP in a single compact housing and is easily portable for various applications. This product provides all the advantages of a cardioid subwoofer arrays but in a compact case. Equipped with a 1000W amplifier in class D, developed with the latest DSP technology and provided with two 12” long excursion drivers, the cardioid subwoofer K is able to reduce the rear output up to 15dB compared to the front. Two M20 sockets are available for a standard 35 mm pole in both vertical and horizontal placement.
The product will be available in the first half of 2017.
