PPDS Philips Professional Displays announces the strategic partnership with i3 Technologies, a leading specialist in software solutions for education, with the aim of introducing innovative technologies in the classroom that can improve teaching and learning.
To complement functionality and performance, the Philips T-Line range dedicated to education will be equipped with the advanced features provided by i3LearnHub, the cloud-based i3 Technologies platform that offers teachers and students immediate access to a wide range of educational tools and collaborative programs designed for the creation of personalised and quality digital content, to manage dynamic and collaborative presentations and to learn in a completely intuitive way.
The i3LearnHub solution does not require any specific training for users and allows you to easily create educational sessions with any connected PC, tablet or mobile phone. In addition, the integration with the wireless sharing function of the Philips T-Line displays, allows all students in the class (in the classroom and remotely) to work on the main display using their personal devices.
With Philips T-Line displays and i3LearnHub software solution, you can instantly transform any classroom into a collaborative workspace. The integration between Philips T-Line and i3LearnHub makes an extraordinary range of content creation resources immediately available, including the interactive digital whiteboard and a vast library of digital materials that also include elements in 3D and augmented reality.
The ease of use of the solution facilitates the sharing of each activity with a single click, making the interaction between teachers and students not only more engaging, but also faster thanks to the possibility of cloud storage to use and manage your archives directly (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive) with i3LearnHub, without having to create or import new file or folder formats every time. Furthermore, the i3Lens application allows you to acquire images with your mobile device and then integrate them with the lesson materials. These images, identifiable with names, tags and keywords, are automatically uploaded to the platform’s personal galleries and ready for use.
The i3LearnHub software solution, thanks to the use of augmented reality features, is the only one capable of recognising physical instruments today (compass, ruler, etc.), thus realising those forms of hybrid learning which make processes of disseminating and learning more effective. “We are aware of the value and capabilities that can be achieved by combining Philips displays with reliable, state-of-the-art software” commented Chris Colpaert, General Manager of PPDS. “This is a perspective for the benefit of our partners and a better user experience for end customers, also made possible thanks to the Android SoC integrated on the displays which, in addition to offering an open and more familiar platform, allows customers to use the solutions they prefer most.”
