Powersoft choose ISE to launch its new Quattrocanali amp: new product to target new markets
Quattrocanali completes Powersoft’s proposal, bridging the gap between Ottocanali (8-Channels) and Duecanali (2-Channels): with the new product, the company plans to respond to the needs of medium-sized applications – from bars to conference rooms, from stores to hotels, from meeting to sporting centers – and to all fixed installations where eight channels would be too many, but in which flexibility and sonic quality are needed.
The Quattrocanali series is produced in two versions (standard and with DSP + Dante) and includes three models: 4804, 2404 and 1204, which differ according to their output power for each channel, respectively of 1200 W, 600 W and 300 W (@ 8 ohm). Their versatility is guaranteed by an Ethernet input for remote control – via Cat5 and Wi-Fi – through both Powersoft’s Armonía software (included for free with all the company’s devices) and through Web App or third-party applications.
Quattrocanali can combine low impedance lines and lines at 70 and 100 Volts and offers the opportunity to connect microphones, mixers, EVAC modules and sources of content. Limited in size (one RU module), it also permits containing energy waste through limiting the number of necessary modules for transportation, but also thanks to a thermal efficiency equal to nearly twice that of other products in its same category.
Used with Armonia, Quatrocanali becomes a true platform: Armonía permits the remote creation of an installation project, and thanks to the broad library of presets it is possible to manage and control various brands of loudspeakers.
Luca Giorgi, Pro Audio Business Unit Manager – “Beyond allowing us to complete our offering, this new amplifier will allow us to enter into a market where, until today, Powersoft has not been present. In the world of installations, we are very cautious with respect to investments, because often they occur in a series and involve important supplies…if 400 W per channel are necessary, a product that supplies 500 would end up being too taxing. Eight channels are sometimes “too many” for certain applications. The Quattrocanali series will also allow us to be present in the market segment related to medium-small installations, with a high-performing, quality, versatile and completely “Made in Italy” product. These are, however, important markets, where an entry-level product is not well-accepted, like retail chains where sound quality is part of the purchase experience, meeting rooms where intelligibility is a primary factor and places where a good audio system makes the client feel at ease.
