PPDS (Philips Professional Display Solutions) adds sparkle to Fersa Bearings’ Spanish headquarters with two spectacular dvLED walls
Fersa Bearings, a leading manufacturer of components for some of the world’s most successful automotive brands, such as Mercedes Benz, has installed two large-scale Philips Public LED High Brightness 7000 Series displays inside its new headquarters in Zaragoza, providing a “wow” effect for visitors and employees.
Founded in 1968 and present in over 85 countries, including Spain, Austria, USA, Brazil, India and China, Fersa Bearings is a world leader and innovator in the design, development, production and supply of complete electromechanical components and solutions for the automotive industry.
The new glass-walled headquarters in Zaragoza needed a range of cutting-edge visual solutions to underline its position of excellence, while creating new visual presentation opportunities. Fersa Bearings chose PPDS and HubTech, a local AV system integration specialist, to create two large-scale frameless video walls. The Philips Public LED High Bright 7000 series was quickly identified as the best choice for the impressive 5×2.75m and 6×3.5m dvLED video walls in the main hall and auditorium.
In the main hall, the 6×3.35m exhibition wall offers opportunities for both communication and product innovations. Inside the 40-seat auditorium, the 5×2.75m video wall offers high-level opportunities for both internal group meetings and potential customers.
The 1200 nit brightness of the Philips Public LED High Bright 7000 series ensures uncompromising viewing experiences at all times, even in full sunlight. All panels used in the project feature integrated cable management, while the display cabinets are daisy-chained for both power and data to minimize clutter and speed up installation.
Finally, both video walls feature 24/7 Active Health Monitoring, which helps Fersa Bearings’ AV/IT management teams predict, detect and resolve issues before they occur. For added protection, Philips dvLED video walls include an IP30–rated compliant coating, making them resistant to potentially harmful air pollutants, reducing the risk of corrosion and electric shock.
Reflecting PPDS’ global strategy, Fersa Bearings has also placed sustainability as a key pillar of the company. Supporting ISO 14001 environmental management certification across its facilities, the Philips Public LED High Brightness 7000 series features Dynamic Power Saving technology, which reduces operating costs by up to 20% compared to other comparable market models.
