Available from this month of May, the new Panasonic series of highly versatile LCD projectors is called PT-MZ880 and is designed for various applications: Corporate, Education and museums.
Panasonic Visual Systems Solutions division presented the new PT-MZ880 range of Solid Shine LCD laser projectors, characterized by high image quality, simple configuration and new eco-friendly design, as well as by a certain flexibility of use: the new models, in fact, are able to cover various applications, from the Corporate to the museum area, passing through the Educational.
The new line-up consists of three models: PT-MZ880 (8.000 lumens), PT-MZ780 (7.000 lumens) and PT-MZ680 (6.000 lumens), all with WUXGA resolution and equipped with Panasonic’s Multi-Laser Drive Engine, which guarantees users not only have excellent brightness and color vividness, but also very low maintenance operation of the projectors.
Very interesting, especially for museum applications, are the integrated Edge Blending function, which allows you to create panoramic projections on very large surfaces, combining different projectors, and the compatibility with the new zero offset ultra-short throw zoom lens by Panasonic, the whose release on the market is scheduled for next autumn. In fact, in museums and for artistic projections, UST optics is often fundamental, to create involvement in the spectators without imposing viewing from difficult positions.
The new series of projectors can also work with Panasonic’s Multi-Monitoring & Control software, which improves the management of the devices and increases their already high reliability, while the Smart Projector Control application allows you to easily control the projectors even remotely via smartphone or tablet. An optional choice is the Early Warning software, which monitors the projectors and warns when an anomaly is detected or when, also based on the hours of operation, it’s necessary to perform cleaning operations or replace components.
Do not forget, with regard to connectivity options and the construction of complex systems, the full compatibility of the PT-MZ880 with Crestron Connected, Art-Net DMX and PJLink technologies. In addition, the PT-MZ880 series is compatible with 4K input signals and accepts 4K/60p video via HDMI or DIGITAL LINK, a key feature when integrating projectors into a 4K-ready infrastructure or when the need to distribute a single 4K signal to a network of endpoints with different display resolutions, without the need for a converter or re-encoding the source.
Finally, the new PT-MZ880 range shines with eco-sustainability, offering approximately 20% lower energy consumption than the previous series models, PT-MZ770, and an operating life of approximately 20.000 hours without the need for maintenance.
