PPDS launches the new 32:9 stretch display S-Line for digital signage applications, with high quality impact performance even in environments with limited space.
The stated goal is to broaden the opportunities and horizons of digital signage: the new Philips S-Line displays with an “elongated” shape offer the possibility of transmitting high-impact content with effortless back-end control, especially for environments where space is limited. After its debut at ISE 2022, the new 37” Philips S-Line (37BDL3050S) is now also available in Italy, and represents a new piece in the large mosaic of PPDS offers. Particularly noteworthy is the 32:9 aspect ratio (928.5 x 282.3 x 48.7 mm), an original and captivating choice, a form factor capable of making even very small and cramped environments shine with originality.
The S-Line displays are designed for 24/7 operation, with a brightness of 700 cd/m², making it the ideal solution for many applications, from public places to transport, from restaurants to retail outlets. Salient features are also the elongated design and the thin frame (12.4 mm T/B, 10.5 mm R/L), which open up various application possibilities to provide high-impact content in small spaces where traditional digital signage is usually not particularly effective. The Philips S-Line displays can be mounted both vertically and horizontally, and have a low weight, just 7.76 kg, which makes them suitable to be mounted in complete safety even on temporary walls, such as those of the kiosks inside of shopping centers. The challenge is to transform any surface, including small spaces above the shelves, into occasions for digital activity and visibility of products and communications (branding, information on the area/fair and opening hours, but also directions, menus and much more).
Designed with flexibility in mind, Philips S-Line displays can be installed as a stand alone solution or seamlessly cascaded using PPDS’s HMDI link technology for multi-display configurations. With Android 8 as its operating system, Philips S-Line is optimized for native Android apps, and thanks to a built-in media player, content can be created and programmed via USB and internal memory, helping to ensure that displays always stay active, even in the event of a network outage.
