At the upcoming Partner Talks in February 2022, ATEN will showcase its first 4K HDMI/USB receiver-transmitter, based on HDBaseT 3.0 technology. As a member of the HDBaseT Alliance, ATEN was among the first brands to introduce products with the HDBaseT 3.0 protocol.
ATEN’s new VE1843, a video transceiver designed to exploit all of the advantages of HDBaseT 3.0 technology, currently the only solution that allows HDMI 2.0 distribution of 4K@60Hz 4: 4: 4 video signal, therefore strictly uncompressed, it will certainly invite much interest at ISE 2022.
VE1843 integrates transmitter and receiver functions in a single unit to offer greater flexibility, as well as a variety of other useful functions, and is explicitly designed for applications where the signal must travel long distances without any loss of quality. We are thinking in particular of large conference rooms, auditoriums, banquet halls and museums. The ability to easily set both functions, Tx and Rx, in a single product, depending on the installation needs, obviously increases the flexibility of the solution and allows users to insert it much more easily into even complex systems consisting of switchers, video matrix, splitters and more.
HDBaseT 3.0 technology does the rest, allowing uncompressed 4K video signal to be transmitted via HDMI up to a distance of 100 meters, with zero latency and via a single Cat 6A cable. In short, all the well-known qualities of ATEN products with, in addition, an even greater compactness and innovative technology. Compliant with HDBaseT 3.0 standards, the VE1843 transceiver transmits high quality video, full range IR, bi-directional RS-232, Gigabit, Ethernet, independent stereo audio and USB 2.0 signal channel bypass. Video quality can be up to 4096 x 2160 @ 60Hz (4: 4: 4), with HDR support and audio embedding and de-embedding functions. Also from the constructive point of view, the new VE1843 has some interesting strengths: first of all, it’s designed for a longer duration, as well as for easy installation and continuous operation. Furthermore, VE1843 is designed to prevent and avoid overheating or malfunctions of the fan, which could interrupt its operation, ensuring more efficient heat dissipation and uninterrupted signal transmission, even for longer times.
